Services
Based in Lymington in the heart of the New Forest we are an established practice covering Hampshire, Dorset and the surrounding areas including Beaulieu, Brockenhurst, Christchurch, Highcliffe, New Milton, Milford on Sea and Barton-on-Sea. Many of our clients are new to the area and depend on our extensive local knowledge to assist in the purchase or alteration of their property.
A survey is essential so you can be properly advised on the condition of the property you are wanting to buy and its value. The Building Survey (or structural survey) A comprehensive survey which we recommend for the larger or older property. A detailed report is produced on the form of construction, defects found and action required.
The Building Survey is what a lot of people used to refer to as a Structural Survey or a level 3 inspection. This is the most in depth inspection of the property you are considering making your next home or investment. Draycott Chartered Surveyors favour this type of report over all others as giving the client the fullest information about the property you intend to purchase.
The HomeBuyer Survey, commonly referred to as a "Level 2" inspection is a more concise report based upon a standard format concentrating on major issues likely to affect your decision to purchase. The HomeBuyer Report is really intended for conventional, modern properties (post 1950) that are in a reasonable condition and is commonly offered as a service upgrade by Building Society Valuers.
The "Essentials" Survey is a product developed by Draycott Chartered Surveyors principally for their clients who have some knowledge of buildings and for clients planning major refurbishments who are really only interested in the Essential elements that will affect their decision to proceed, or not, with the purchase.
