Gareth Lewis returns as head coach for his ninth season, while Lewis Bradley steps up to captain the side and will be assisted by vice-captain Tom Hodson. The 1st XV has been a great platform for a number of players to progress their careers. Perhaps our most famous past player is Newcastle Falcons and former England International Luther Burrell who came through our Age Grade system.
The A Team was originally formed in 1919 as the second team for The Huddersfield Old Boys and has since been a pivotal part of Huddersfield Rugby Union Football Club. In its current format, we represent the Club as the Third XV, playing in the Yorkshire Central Merit League. The 2019/20 season was a massive success, mainly due to winning 13 out of the 14 games, along with Campbell also managing to keep his clothes on for the full year.
The benefits to ladies are huge, not only in terms of fitness but also for their social skills, mental/emotional wellbeing (self-esteem, confidence, leadership, initiative) and above all the game is FUN. If you believe a lady you know would benefit from any of the above, encourage them to come down and give us a try.

Our Academy comprises the U17 and U18 age groups, competing in the Yorkshire Colts leagues, the National Colts Competition and the Keith Dyas Yorkshire Colts Cup. The overall Academy structure and approach continues to follow and align itself with the Senior teams, and includes the integration of Academy players with the seniors, a process aimed at delivering fully prepared players to the First XV squad.

Easily accessible by car, plenty of parking. Good standard of hospitality and hosting. There's a covered stand big enough for a few hundred, all-seater, plus good views opposite the stand when the weather is clear.
