St Judes is located in a leafy suburb and stands beautifully within mature grounds and gardens with easy access to all public transport services. Since opening in 1996, we continue to remain proud to accommodate private and government funded residents, providing warmth, support and security to deliver a comfortable home from home setting.
We are a registered Nursing Home with the Care quality commission (CQC) and are members of the Registered Nursing Home Association. We also support "Contact the elderly" a registered charity organisation. Our aim is to ensure all our residents are happy and healthy whilst being cared for by our professional team of highly qualified, trained and motivated nurses and care assistants.

Services
Our St Judes family are house proud of our Home which echoes in our friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Beautifully decorated, special attention has been given to delivering a spacious setting which is both light and airy. Our Home is wheelchair accessible with passenger lifts as well as stair lifts to help facilitate resident independence.
We, at St Judes place our residents at the centre of everything we do. We recognize our residents' individual values and beliefs to be up-most important in planning and delivering person centred care (PCC). PCC essentially recognises every individual resident as unique and it takes a holistic approach in meeting the residents' health and social care needs.
Did you know that a new dementia case is reported at every 4 seconds? According to a report by the World Health Organization (WHO) and Alzheimer's Disease International (ADI), the total number of people falling prey to dementia every year is around 7.7 million. Currently it has been estimated that 35.6 million people are suffering from dementia.
Our chefs prepare and cook all meals in-house with emphasis on fresh produce and seasonal menus that incorporate resident's favourites. Special dietary requirements are catered for, with detailed assessments and plans of each resident's nutritional needs.
All residents are encouraged to eat socially, however, we also have the option for them to dine in their room or provide separate dining facilities if a dedicated family visit is planned over mealtimes.I believe St Judes to be an excellent independently run care home offering 24-hour Residential and Nursing care, managed with humanity, understanding and compassion.

Our entertainments and activity organiser offers a varied programme of stimulating pastimes, such as arts and crafts, skittles, quizzes and games - movement to music is a favourite - and we have a cinema room with a daily movie. Independence is promoted through our activity programme, smaller groups and one-to-one are enjoyed, baking reminiscence, manicures and hand massage all aid to relaxation.

Shocking 'care' home! My Grandad was there for 2 weeks before he died. The staff didn't once look after him. I know for a fact that they didn't check on him, they didn't give him drinks of water, they left him on his own all day! Never shaved him, or washed him. Disgusting! Do NOT put your loved ones in this home. The staff should be ashamed!!!!!!!!!!!

Halth care assistants and nursing staff work very hard in this home , they try their best to make the residents safe and feel comfortable, healthy and happy during the coronavirus pandemic. They are real Heroes. The staff is trained, qualified and polite. Manager treats people with respect and empathy, she cares for strong, well-integrated and respected team work. The house is kept clean and safe.

Terminally ill mother, left in a room bedframe was all scratched. Had to ask for fresh water as when we visited the jug of water was always off smelt bad. Had to constantly ask for fresh water and straws as mum couldn't hold cup on her own and when visiting was distressed. When my mum was about to die and we didn't know it. a nurse who looked like she just woke up dishevelled and tired looking, and pulled back her sheet showed us her discoloured feet and muttered in a strong foreign accent to which I had to ask her to repeat" this here is sign circulation. "Shortly after we left my mum passed away

Our Caregiver took warm and wonderful care of my mother over many months even as mom’s care needs were changing. The day my mother died, even though she was off duty, she insisted on cutting her time off short and came to bathe my mother before the arrival of the funeral home attendants. She was a key member of the support team our family crafted for my mom. Our family is grateful that St Judes Nursing Home brought her into the circle of care that surrounded my mother as she died.”

My Father is cared for with the greatest respect and I could not ask for a place better equipped to deal with his complex needs. St Judes has a warm, family like atmosphere and is filled with caring and efficient staff. There is a genuine warmth that radiates throughout St Judes which can clearly be seen in the reflecting smiles of residents faces. I Would recommend St Judes to anyone who is considering seeking residential services for a loved one.
