The Club was established in 1988 and has occupied its current building since its opening by Diana, Princess of Wales in the same year. We are affiliated to the English Indoor Bowling Association, Bedfordshire Indoor Bowling Association and London & Southern Counties Bowling Association. LIBC members play in National, County, Club Competitions and friendlies throughout the year.
Membership is open to people of all ages, playing or non-playing and new members are always very welcome. There is a small charge for tuition half of which is refunded on joining the club. We offer 8 rinks, a large car park plus a bar and function room, which can accommodate up to 100 people. Facilities are also available for the disabled and LIBC is committed to equal opportunities for all its members.

How is it played? Bowls is a relatively simple sport to understand although it does require a certain degree of tactical thinking. You are given four bowls a game to get as close to the small white ball that is known as the 'jack'. The game is made difficult by the bowls, which have flattened sides and a weight bias.
