We are pleased to be still able to offer face to face physio appointments or virtual if you would prefer. We have a robust policy of social distancing where possible, PPE and hygiene, to ensure your visit to us is as safe and efficient as possible whilst ensuring you receive the effective physio treatment you have come to expect of us.
At Back into Action Physiotherapy we believe our approach is unique. We have spent many years working with elite athletes and professional sports people; they are a demanding bunch which means that we have had to develop excellent diagnostic and treatment skills. We think there is no reason for you not to expect the very same approach and that remains our aim.

Services
Our physiotherapists are members of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and are registered with the Health Professions Council and the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists. We treat all musculo-skeletal problems including neck and back problems, sports injuries, headaches, balance disorders, whiplash, occupational related disorders and can provide post-operative rehabilitation.
Our approach is based on problem solving, using our vast experience and sound clinical reasoning skills. We will carry out a detailed assessment of your musculoskeletal system and explain our diagnosis so that you understand it. We enjoy the challenge of solving your pain and dysfunction however complex and chronic.
Between us we have years of hands on experience working with a variety of squads of elite athletes on and off the pitch from rugby to swimming, badminton to hockey, tennis to rowing. As physios we also practise what we preach and play a lot of sport ourselves from skiing to cycling, eventing to triathlon and we find it really helps us to understand you.
The spine has some seriously complicated anatomy with an interconnecting system of joints, discs, nerves, muscles and ligaments. Any one of these structures can be a source of your pain. Fortunately most back pain is simple mechanical back pain which is relatively straight forward to fix. In some cases, however, the problem is more structural affecting joints, discs and nerves.
Problems affecting the shoulder joint itself fall into 2 categories; instability of the joint and impingement of the tendons and other structures around the joint. However, pain can also radiate into your shoulder from your neck and your ribs so an in depth assessment is important to differentiate between all these structures.

I was so impressed with the support given to us today. My son had suffered a rugby injury at the weekend, after a thorough check over by Scott we were provided a clear and reassuring explanation, supportive tape, homework and a plan for a return visit. All delivered in a professional but friendly and open manner. 5 star! Thank you Back into Action.
