Unsafe static caravan, fire alarm battery missing, gas hob unusable and unsafe, boiler unsafe - burn marks on it, windows not closing properly - lots of draft, bathroom sink had a piece missing, could not use it, asked to be moved, no other place available, promised to refund one night, and when we checked out - out of 280 pounds per night they said will only give 100 pounds refund. We refused and will complain to trading standards

Colliford is a sad tired and very run down campsite owned by someone who is happy to take our money but run the site on a shoestring. It doesn't deserve one star ... if we could of got somewhere else to stay, and a refund we would of left straight away.
There is only one full time member of staff , no cleaner (a handyman) so the showers and toilets are not cleaned properly (dirty mop buckets) never mind sanitised as advertised on the website and the bins are overflowing daily.
I wouldn't recommend anyone stay here until this site has been brought upto date, for the owner to understand what he

Avoid. Indescribably bad. Run down, dirty. Bed sheets were stained and appeared unwashed. Pillows smelled foul. No attention to covid precautions. Lights didn't work. All this for £92 for a room for 1 night. On a positive note, the two fellows on the desk were polite and helpful.

Beautiful surroundings spoilt by the terrible treatment of guests. Huge problem with the electrics and you either put up or get off as note says!!!! Being run by a young lad who really needs better training or assistance. Will def not recommend or return to this joke of a site and do expect a full refund

Dirty site. Bins overflowing and foul smelling. Toilets are filthy. Broken glass in children’s play area and continuous power cuts on the camping area. The owners are anonymous and the manager just shrugs his shoulders. The place has an aura about it of owners that do not care!

The young man here is very polite and helpful, and maybe with a little Help this campsite could be drastically improved. Beautiful surroundings but unfortunately it was just so dirty here. The toilets and… showers were disgustingly filthy, hair clogging the plug holes and up the wall, no toilet roll, overflowing bins. I couldn’t stay there again which is a shame as it could be a great site.

We booked here for 10 nights. We left after one hour! There were dogs roaming around loose, the bins were overflowing. The toilets were absolutely filthy. I complained to the young man who seemed to be running it alone and he said someone would be in touch. They have not attempted to contact me. I shall be taking it further.

Not sure why this place got so bad reviews.
Amazing place to stay, really nice and clean toilets, restaurant, little playground for children, huge amount of parking for Motorhomes and all is inside forest.... I would come back here again......

One of the beds in the room I was staying in had yellow stains on the sheets! the curtains also had stains on them too, the room itself it wasn't very clean either, there was rubbish from a previous guest in our room. The food in the Tavern was terrible we ordered cheesey chips & cheesey garlic bread but what we got was terrible, the garlic bread… was still half frozen & the cheese on it was just dried grated hard cheese & the same stuff was on the chips, it's outrageous & disgusting! we paid nearly £350 for 3 nights so we at least expected it to be clean! We certainly

Pulled in here for a spot of lunch at 11.30. very polite man seemed to be running the place himself. we ordered 3 cheese and onion sandwiches. this took almost 45 mins to turn up. The place was empty. The young… man arrived with the food. The cheese was a cheese square melted on to the hardest most brittle cheapest bread that was smothered in mayonnaise and lard... yes actual lard. It was so thick it actually made my friend wretch when I showed her what we had been served. the sandwich then had a piece of bread in the middle that then had another piece of toast that had a whole onion in

Not completely open yet so basically had campsite to ourselves. Running water, electric hook-ups, peace & quiet, access to as much hiking as you want. And daily visits from the neighborhood sheep. Lots of renovations being done to building so pub & restaurant were not open. But that was the only disappointment.

Very quiet and relaxing place, beautiful views and easily accessible.
We were greeted by Al and he showed us to our room. He was very polite and informative.
Apartment was very spacious and laid out well just in need of a spruce up and a good clean. (Lots of spiders and bugs and decor rather outdated)

Firstly we arrived at the beautiful location of the lake and woods.
We were very disappointed as we entered our room to feel like we had wasted nearly £200 on a very run down and faint smell of urine room. The shower was something out of the 1900s and the pressure was awful. We went down to the bar to get a drink and some food and only had the option of a few cans of beer or a glass of rubbish dry red wine that was already opened. We ordered burgers that wasn't to bad but the atmosphere was terrible. Silence and no music so the only one other couple could hear everything we were talking about

We had an overall good experience, considering these are camp site lodges! the room was clean and well kept with tea coffee etc and tv and had great views over the lake and bodmin Moor, although still advertised as open the restaurant remains closed!, we didnt have any food here so cant comment, we used this location as a base while we visited many parts of Cornwall, there is a very famous inn 1.6 miles away the jamaica inn!, the food there is fantastic and its history even better, considered one of England's most haunted pubs!!
