Although no longer a rest stop for weary travellers, The Three Tuns was the oldest hostelry in Sutton Coldfield, then known as THE THREE TUNS HOTEL. Our earliest noted visitor recorded is the Earl of Richmond (later King Henry VII), who lodged here on his way to Bosworth. The hotel also sheltered Priestley, the Unitarian minister and discoverer of oxygen
