Pinkmead Farm Equestrian Centre
Pinkmead Farm is situated in the quiet village of Botley, on the upper reaches of the River Hamble. Within easy access of the M27 and mainline train station. We are a fully licensed and British Horse Society approved establishment, offering excellent instruction, explaining the basic principles of horsemanship to the beginner and training advanced riders in all disciplines of the equestrian field.

With our structured lesson system it is easy to progress from beginner to competing horse owner within the same yard. Many Pinkmead pupils are successfully competing at top levels, in disciplines such as British Dressage and British Showjumping. Clients have also trained here at Pinkmead and gained British Horse Society qualifications.
Services
Each rider is given a rider record card, this lists all the elements required to complete each level. This also ensures our instructors teach the same elements for each level. When a rider achieves the standard to complete a level they will receive a certificate of achievement and move up to the next level.
Join us for a fun packed day looking after the ponies with a ride in the morning for those who join us for half day and a second ride in the afternoon for all day. Pony Care Weeks are an ideal opportunity to really improve your riding skills and learn all about horse care. Each day you will have a lesson and fun ride along with gaining many skills such as grooming and tacking up.
Our Saddle Club is for our younger riders who wish to spend quality time here at Pinkmead helping and learning new skills. Children can join us at weekends and during school holidays. Each time they attend they will gain points and in return for 100 points receive a free ride! We currently have a wonderful group of Saddle Club members and always welcome new recruits!
We are very proud that many of our clients are now successfully competing at top levels in dressage and show jumping. These riders learnt to ride with us as beginners and continued through our levels within the Riding Centre. Horse ownership then followed along with continued training at Pinkmead. We have listed below some of their achievements.
Pinkmead Farm Equestrian Centre is a British Horse Society Approved Livery Yard and we have been established for over 25 years. We pride ourselves on high standards and a professional approach, offering a wide range of care from DIY to full livery. Your horse's care is of paramount importance to us and each horse is looked after as if it's one of our own.

Visited the Bistro....
very, Very, VERY slow service. Waited 1hour just for drinks to be served, let alone for our breakfast. That said - when the food did finally arrive, it was amazing.

Amazing instructors, we have 8 of our own horses and I just don’t have the time to teach my youngest daughter to ride ,so sent her to Pinkmead ….. she has come on in leaps and bounds ! Such encouragement at every lesson , she comes home beaming every time ….. and it doesn’t matter who she has teaching her , Louise , Chloe , Tash or Penny it’s always the same ……

Just had my first ever riding lesson yesterday with Louise and really enjoyed it. She was a fantastic teacher and very knowledgeable - I started trotting by the end of the lesson! I have now booked a block of 5 lessons to improve my abilities. Thank you pinkmead!

Very helpful. Reasonably priced. If you are buying and using fireworks at home read the instructions then you will all have a nice evening! Use our local outlets rather than purchasing from supermarkets!

I went there for most of my time riding (5-6 years) and it was very good and the instructors were AMAZING!! Ponies are well looked after and cared for! However they didn't progress with the lessons very quickly and in all of the years there I got to the stage of jumping a teeny tiny cross pole and doing a tiny course ONCE!! I no longer go there and have moved to a different stables for hacking but I would recommend it to people of all riding abilities!! Prices not disastrous either! 🙂🙂🐴🐴

Excellent. Booked a beginner lesson for my mum, sister and I for my mums Birthday. The instructor was brilliant and we were made to feel really safe. The horses were matched to our heights and weights and we had someone alongside us at all times. We were all very impressed to be trotting by the end of the lesson and would recommend this to anyone interested in trying this out. Prices were very reasonable and hat hire also an option.
