Services
Equinox Physiotherapy was established over 19 years ago by directors Bethan Drinkall and Michael Douglas. Beth and Doug both share a passion for quality neuro rehabilitation. Our practice in Cross Hands has grown and we are now a strong team of neuro physiotherapists, associate specialist therapists, aquatic therapists and rehabilitation coaches.
Doug qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in Coventry University in 1988. He jointly started Equinox Physiotherapy Partnership Ltd with his colleague Beth in 2002. He provides both a clinical and administrative role in the company that specialises in sub-acute brain injured and neurologically impaired clients both in places of care and in the community.
We have a breadth of physiotherapy, rehabilitation and alternative treatments to help a variety of physical conditions and injuries. Neuro physiotherapy is focused on treating any damage caused to your central nervous system, this can include brain, spinal cord or peripheral nerve injury. This often means that messages from the brain are not reaching certain parts of your body which can impair movement and your quality of life.
Neuro physiotherapy is focused on treating any damage caused to your nervous system, this can include brain, spinal cord or peripheral nerve injury. This often means that messages from the brain are not reaching certain parts of your body which can impair movement and sensation. Every patient is different and symptoms can vary from reduced mobility, uncontrolled movements, less balance to spasms and pain.
This includes treating injuries and disorders in the skeletal system (bones) and muscles, tendons, ligaments, joints and fascia. Symptoms can vary from chronic pain, inflammation, discomfort, joint restrictions which can limit exercise and wellbeing. Your therapist will aim to understand patient history, the source of the problem and rehabilitation potential.
