We look at how you move, work, play and generally live your life. This will help us to identify the causes of your problem, and provide you with the treatment and advice you need in order to get better and hopefully avoid recurrence. This assessment process starts the moment you walk through the door!
Appropriate physiotherapy management is vital after orthopaedic surgery. For example, it has been shown that a failure to restore good knee motion might lead to a poor outcome following knee surgery. Early physiotherapy to work on range of motion is therefore extremely important in post-op patients.

Services
We operate a one-to-one approach, starting with your detailed initial assessment and examination where we will thoroughly explain your problem and detail the treatment plan we suggest. Your treatment will often involve 'hands on' sessions where appropriate and will always have an individual rehabilitation programme for you to undertake between sessions.
At Joint Care Clinic we use an evidence-based approach to patient care. This includes using research evidence to guide our treatments, and our own audit and research into our clinical effectiveness and treatment outcomes. We have on-going audit activity of our whiplash and neck outcomes, and have just started using the latest outcome measure from the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, which has been trialled Europe-wide.
