Chaplin Books is an independent publishing house, launched in 2009, initially specialising in social history and film studies, but expanding its range over the years to include popular culture and fiction.

You can find all our titles in the catalogue on this website, where you'll see details of everything from the best-selling The Wonder of Woolies (a compilation of memories of Britain's best-loved store, Woolworth's) to the popular set of naval memoirs by Peter Broadbent, taking in books about Sherlock Holmes, Jack the Ripper, the Titanic, autism, visual comedy, and much more along the way.

A very personal service, excellent editing and royalties paid monthly without fail. I was fortunate to have discovered Amanda Field when looking for a publisher who would accept submissions by e-mail. I have enjoyed a brilliant 10 years with Chaplin Books and can't imagine working with anyone else.
