With around 15 full-time call operators attending the phones from our two offices in Chorley & South Ribble, along with Web, App & IVR Bookings, no call goes unanswered. We provide highly detailed customer invoicing. You can be confident your booking will not be overlooked, and no journey will ever be overcharged. Our metered tariff is based on the local authority tariff sheet as published by Chorley Borough Council, or for Leyland hires, South Ribble Borough Council.

About Us Report

First launched in 1990 by Philip & Lynne Cooper, the company continues to operate by them and now their two sons, Neil & Shaun who manage all day to day tasks in their managerial roles. Initially established with only 3 cars from a residential address, the company now operates around 100 vehicles from 2 bases, one in Chorley and one in South Ribble.

Minibus Hire Report

Cooper's Taxis have 2 x 16 seat and 1 x 13 seat minibuses for hire. These vehicles are meticulously maintained to a high standard at all times in accordance with Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) regulations. As such, we have the confidence to undertake a hiring at a moments notice for any length of journey.

Gave these a few chances, turned up late a couple of times even when booked hours in advance. One of the admin guys are very rude aswell, I rang asking for a taxi, I told him where I was and he said we don't do leyland then hung up... I was trying to go to chorley

We used the taxi service for several holidays recently the last being a cruise. We had to meet a coach pickup so we had to be in Preston on time. Pickup time was spot on and we were at the pickup point bang on time. Great driver again.
I know the coach coming back is always a problem. We were booked for 6pm pickup but due to a good run up from Southampton we were expected at 3.15pm. No problem they changed the time and we were met by another great driver. Really would recommend this company

Excellent, professional and courteous service from all Coopers staff. The booking and pre-payment was simple and quick. We booked a return journey to/from a wedding so couldn't afford to be late - both taxis turned up on time and the drivers were friendly and courteous. Probably not the cheapest option but if you want reliability they can't be faulted. Great service all round, highly recommended

The staff when booking are helpful, friendly and professional. The drivers are also friendly. I book the taxis every week for a return journey. You can ask the driver to send the link and can pay with your card so much easier.

Always reliable, great drivers and clean cars.
The only downside is they charge time and a half after 11pm which means for a night out with friends and family they are a lot more expensive than the competitors. Hence I don't use them as often as I would like.
Truth be known if they sorted this charging issue they would double their business easily across south ribble.

Hired a minibus to take myself and 14 other people to Chester for our wedding, it was a return journey. The gentleman that did the journey was lovely, explained what will happen and why and made the group feel relaxed whilst with him. Assisted with all the luggage even the very heavy cases he took on no bother at all. I was a little worried about how everything would go but I have the say the journey there and back was fantastic.
I'd also like to thank the staff I have spoken to on the phone as well as they have been very helpful when I've dealt with them.

Absolute cowboys, fixed rate fare agreed and tried to demand £15 more. Very rude and patronising driver. Will never use again. Terrible customer service, the woman on the phone was extremely rude and put blame entirely on the passenger.
