Service without a smile…
No immediate acknowledgment upon arrival even though plenty of staff walked past us..which then improved with a friendly drinks and food order but unfortunately left waiting for about 40 minutes. We then asked politely how long the food ) (2 sandwiches) would be, it was then promptly brought out but wasn’t warm as described… on the menu so had been stood for a while, we also ordered one portion of chips which were then forgotten about. We asked for these and where brought two portions luckily these where hot but no apology for the delay of the sandwiches

We had Sunday lunch here on 10 October 2021 and were very disappointed. We both ordered the roast pork and it was not good at all, chewy and seemed to be the end of the joint, all scrappy pieces. We did mention this to the waitress and she said she'd tell the manager. We had previously had Sunday lunch here on 19 September 2021 and this time it was delicious roast beef. Will think twice about going here for Sunday lunch again!

Probably my own fault for going to a farm shop cafe and ordering a sandwich but was left very disappointed for the sum of £6+ when two regular slices of bread turned up with a layer of tuna, a few salad leaves and a thimble of homemade coleslaw (which was lovely). Unfortunately has put me off returning.

I have been to Hilltop for breakfast on lots of occasions and it is always really lovely
The farm shop is stocked with lots of beautiful local produce and the staff are always really helpful! The cakes are delicious and they box them for take away, perfect!
On a Friday and Saturday night they open at 1700 and at Zaks Bar in the beautiful countryside pizza, burgers and pimps are served. There are beaches, sofas and deck chairs which provide comfy seating to the incredible views
Reasonable prices £10 ish for a pizza, £7-9 for a burger and £3 for fries
They give you a buzzer and you collect

Lovely place far off city. We loved the breakfast served to us. The COVID precautions are in place and hence we need advance booking to dine in. The menu was simple and in addition they will offer Tea, Coffee and juices. The staff were court date friendly. We loved the place. Outside the restaurant the sight of livestock makes us happy. Will go again.

A farm shop/restaurant atop a hill with wonderful views across the valley. The welcome is warm and friendly and the atmosphere is busy, but you don’t feel bustled. The restaurant seemed fully Covid19 secure. The menu is quite wide ranging and the food was very enjoyable, and arrived quickly. After a meal there’s the option of wandering around the grounds, or in the farm shop.
