Awful 'communication'. They send you a job spec and then don't respond to any emails or phone calls. I have tried three separate numbers on separate days and it just rings and rings and rings. The direct line for the 'recruitment agent' doesn't even ring, just instantly hangs up without getting a dial tone. I have emailed the recruitment agent multiple times trying to arrange a phone call and he doesn't even bother to reply to my emails.

They are unprofessional non-payers...take the other reviews with a pinch of salt, there are some obvious fakes.
IO placed me with client who had some "questionable practices”. I ended up having to hand my notice in. Their client then refused to sign a timesheet as they didn't want to pay IO Associates.
IO Associates then did not pay my invoice (despite confirming with the client the days that I'd worked), after six months of chasing people at all levels of the business, only to be fobbed off or messed around, I still haven't been paid for the work that I did.
If you're a contractor who expects

I had will rouse from IO come to me with a DevOps opportunity whilst I was still in my journey looking to break into the DevOps space. I can't thank Will enough for his excellent service, his above and beyond attitude but also his professionalism.

Stella at iO helped me find my first contract role after having been on furlough through most of the pandemic. She was full of great advice and support, making the whole process as smooth as it could be. I has some difficult contractual issues to sort out, but iO we’re there every step of the way to help out and give me the support and reassurances I needed to make this transition from permanent employee to business owner! Stella was able to convey the interesting and challenging work involved in the role which grabbed my interest. She also spent a lot of time helping me understand what was involved in switching to a contract role.

I was recently placed by Bea at IO Associates, and it was one of the best recruitment experiences I've had. Communication was brilliant at all times leading up to interviews and placement. We still have regular chats to make sure the placement is going as planned. I've been in contact with various consultants at IO for a long time, and previously the placements have been at just the wrong time for me, but this latest one worked out perfectly. I've always had a good experience dealing with them.
