Truemans Heath Riding School
I recently saw an email and at the bottom was the riding school missions statement "we want a riding school that feels more like a family, etc." I read it and for me I do believe that it has been achieved and it is how I describe the riding school to other people. I love the friendly atmosphere at THRS, I appreciate being greeted by a cheerful hello when I arrive, it makes me feel part of the stable family.

Everybody loves the horses so much, their happiness and well being is the most important thing. I believe that many stables would treat the horses as 'equipment for riding', rather than animals with feelings and very different personalities. You feel it is a privilege to ride them. In my opinion the riding school is a fun, happy and warm place to be and I love the time I spend at Truemans.
Services
For us, our 'team' is anyone who helps to promote the Magic of Riding - without those who volunteer to help with lessons, running the yard or caring for the horses, THRS would not be the place it is today. So please check out the slideshow below to find out more about which faces you might see around the yard - instructors, owners, and volunteers included!
We recognise that everybody learns differently, and so take a flexible approach to teaching, structuring lessons in a way that helps both you and the horse learn together. We offer riding lessons to children from the age of 5yrs upwards, starting them on 30 minute lead-rein lessons (19.00 per child, per lesson, plus hat hire charge of 1.00).
We love the school holidays and long summer evenings, as it gives us chance to offer our customers something different. We run everything from from expert evenings (like our "horse massage course for beginners") to Pony Camps or Adult Horse for the Days.

Based on customer feedback, we use our Facebook Page as the most convienient way of letting people know what events we're holding over the year (in addition to our e-newsletters and office notice board).
Our birthday parties are an extremely popular choice at Truemans Heath Riding School, and something we consider a speciality. Birthday parties can be booked for a Friday after school (during April-September), or during the daytime between Tuesday - Friday (including during all school holidays) - a minimum charge of 4 riders is applicable for any party, and we take riders from 5yrs old.
We love our horses, and strongly believe in treating each and everyone of them as an individual.

We think it's really important that they retain all the little quirks and mannerisms that make them unique, and we encourage all of our customers to work in harmony with these different characters to achieve the best for both horse and rider (it's why we purposely haven't included descriptions of our horses because we want you to find out about these personalities for yourselves!).

Critical: Communication, Quality
Came here to do more horse riding and ended up just playing a game of follow the leader. Hardly helped me get any better. Honestly don't recommend if you're going to improve on your riding.

Amazing place to ride with a real focus on the care of the horses. Instructors are all very friendly and welcoming and are always ready to answer any question you may have. I have been riding here for two years now and it is more than worth the long drive. Would highly recommend.

Have had two riding lessons here so far. Having rode about 10 years ago and losing my confidence, I decided to try Truemans heath after hearing good reviews. Lovely friendly staff and horses, especially Pride who is helping to bring my confidence back! .

Our daughter has been attending Truemans Heath for about three years now - first as a nervous novice, then a more confident learner and now part of the voluntary helper team, working and enjoying herself for up to five hours at the stables each Saturday.
She has always been met with outstanding warmth and care and it has become a wonderful feature of her personal development. It seems that not a week goes by without some further improvement to the online information or the helper development programme, which is truly impressive.
