Simple Simon have been providing quality catering for weddings, parties and corporate events in and around Cambridgeshire, Ely & Newmarket for over 25 years. We use locally sourced, fresh produce wherever possible from local butchers, farmers and suppliers. Impressing your guests doesn't need to cost the earth, but it should be done well - whatever your budget.
Boy, do we know wedding? We have over 25 years experience of making sure that the bride's big day goes without a hitch (boom, boom). Deciding on the theme, decoration and design of your wedding is the most exciting part of the preparations and we are very pleased to be part of the process to make sure you entire wedding day will be just as you imagined it.
If you would like something that is not listed here, simply contact us. Our chefs are creative and we are very flexible. Cheese burger (homemade beef pate, toasted muffin, tomato & gherkin relish, monteray jack cheese with shallot rings). We often surprise wedding planners & event organisers in Cambridge, Ely & Newmarket by quite how much is possible for their budget.
Evening catering and informal buffets for weddings, private parties or corporate events start from 3.50 per head. We have a huge variety of options available for evening buffets or informal receptions. Just ask or provide your own inspiration. We can match the food to suit the theme of your wedding, event or party and help it go with a swing.
Go Vintage - We have a very special Vintage Tea Party style that we can offer you, complete with vintage crockery and vintage bunting. Hog Roasts - As an alternative to a traditional evening buffet, we can offer you and your guests a roasted pig on a spit with stuffing and apple sauce.
Table Carvers - We have recently catered a wedding where we roasted joints of meat and served them to the table for your guests to carve (we supplied the carving knives etc) the bride supplied chef's hats and aprons for their designated carver; it was lots of fun.Table Picnic - lots of good things for your guests to eat, spread out on the tables on platters and stands for them to dive into.
