Services
My name is Carol Lang and I run and manage the holiday cottages on our beautiful riverside farm near Berwick upon Tweed. I work in conjunction with my husband Sandy who runs the farming enterprise along with his brother Jim. West Ord is a mainly arable farm with a sheep flock, producing high quality cereals and Lamb.
Bed linen is supplied in all the cottages and each bed has a duvet and two pillows per person. Bath and hand towels are provided in all the cottages, and consist of one each per person booked to stay, along with bath mats. Tea towels, dish cloths, toilet rolls and cleaning agents are provided in all the cottages.
Living room with large open fireplace, antique pine table and chairs, easy chairs and an LCD TV and DVD. Kitchenette in solid pine to one end of the living room accommodates electric cooker, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and washer/drier. Bedroom has "zip and link" beds, which can provide twin or king-size double beds, and ample wardrobe and drawer storage for four people.
Shepherds Cottage is detached and has ample parking for two cars to the front and a fenced garden (which is mainly lawn and very safe for children playing) to the rear. Garden furniture and a barbeque are also provided. Two bedrooms upstairs, one with double bed the other with twin beds. A third bedroom with "zip and link" beds can provide either twin or double sleeping for two people on the ground floor.
We hope you enjoy your stay with us, our tranquil and relaxing cottages are not the only reason why you should stay with us. There are lots of things to see and do in the local area and below we share with you just but a few. One of the main attractions for staying at West Ord is it's idyllic setting on the banks of the River Tweed.

Would highly recommend these lovely cottages. We have been coming here for at least 15 years and have always had a wonderful time. My daughters aged 11 and 13 love it too. They can pop to the cottage next door to see their Nana Grandad and Great-grandad. Carol and her husband are wonderful hosts. The cottages are clean with well stocked utensils and very covid-safe. You bag your bed linen before you leave and place all tea-towels and towels in the bath for the cleaning staff.
You will not be disappointed 😊

We stayed in the dog friendly Tweed Cottage. It's a stunning cottage, has everything you could possibly need as is a definite home from home. It's that warm and cosy we didn't use the log burner for our week stay in Feb ! Carol is lovely and offers fab advice, Tesco deliver and it's in a perfect spot to visit all the North of the county has to offer. The little bakery in Eyemouth does fabulous steak pies! We will be visiting West Ord cottages again

I took my family away for 2 weeks and stayed in Shepherds Cottage, welcomed on our arrival by Carol the owner who could not have been more friendly and made us feel at ease straight away. The house was well equipped with everything you could need, spotlessly clean, good quality towels and bedding and very comfortable beds aswell. It was a bonus to have wifi although the signal was quite weak but still enabled us to look us places to visit whilst staying there. It is situated on a very smart narrow and quiet lane with a nice circular walk you can do down to the river and back along the top road

Stayed in Geary Shiel for a week. Lovely cottage with a beautiful location next to the river.
Nothing too much trouble if you needed anything. Just ask at the farm and everything is sorted.
Near to Berwick but you could be miles from anywhere it's so peaceful. Made lots of new friends (the sheep) that greeted us every morning.
Highly recommended
