My initial review was favourable... But something happened on a return visit which did not impress me! I will keep that between me and the establishment in question... But I will certainly not be returning.

Impressively clean hotel, the room was spotless and the whole venue was clean and tidy.
I stayed in room 6 which has an impressive 4 poster bed and a big good quality Samsung TV. I had a very comfortable stay.
The food in the pub was good and the beer selection was too. Friendly helpful staff and service.
Housekeeping didn't take my rubbish bag I'd left, and left the used shower gel bottles around the bath. I was surprised at this, and it's the only thing stopping me from rating 5 stars.
Overall enjoyed my stay, I'd book that room again, and the pub and restaurant had a nice atmosphere which

We visit fairly regularly and the food is always good. Recommend the Sunday lunch. Would advise booking in advance. Car park spaces are quite tight and it can get full so you have to park on the road, so car share if you can and drop off guests with limited mobility at the door before parking.

Lovely atmosphere and the Sunday roast was so close to being perfect. I had my beef pink and found it a little tough. There was plenty of meat and it came out plated with a beautiful, BIG homemade Yorkshire pudding. Unfortunately the plate hadn't been warmed and took the heat out of the beef. The food was served with some beautiful roast potatoes, a selection of perfectly cooked vegetables and gravy. Had the meat been a little more tender and hot, it would have been 10/10.

23rd October 2021. Went for a meal with my wife. My wife really enjoyed her beer battered haddock, the fish was perfectly cooked in a light crispy batter. I enjoyed my perfectly cooked rare rib-eyed steak with blue cheese sauce.
We both had desserts which were a delight.
Staff were friendly and very efficient.

We hired the function room for our wedding reception and it was absolutely faultless from start to finish. Excellent communication and organisation with making the arrangements.
Food and the service was impeccable, and a shout out to the fantastic bar man who was kept busy all night and did a great job!
We also stayed overnight and had a beautiful room, topped off with a great breakfast the next morning.
The Corbet Arms really made our day perfect and memorable and we cannot recommend highly enough.

Fantastic place. Set on the banks of the river Severn. Huge garden, over looking the Severn and countryside. This place offers bed and breakfast, great views from room 5. Good food, food beers, great hospitality. Oh and the A49 is close by, you can hear it but it's worth the noise, for the view and location. With Shrewsbury a few miles away. What an absolutely gorgeous place that is. If you don't believe me, see for yourself. I would highly recommend the Corbet Arms.
