Little Delwood Kindergarten is a term-time preschool open from 8 AM to 6 PM, for children age 2 to school age, located in tranquil North Miller's Dale, Chandler's Ford. In order to comply with the new government guidelines and staff availability, we have implemented temporary modified opening days and hours.

It is a wonderful environment and so much thought and time is given to the activities and learning. Staff are amazing, children always doing new activities and learning about the world around them.

Services
Respect - Linking with our Golden Rules and the British Values, we encourage kindness and safe, responsible play, both towards other people and the environment. We strive for children to understand the consequences of their actions, both positive or otherwise. The Kindergarten Team role model respectful behaviour, treating children as individuals and focusing on what they can do and what is next for them in their own learning journey.
At Little Delwood Kindergarten, we open at 8:00 AM and close at 4:00 PM, we are open five days a week and term-time only. We offer a variety of flexible session options within a day, including morning sessions, afternoons, and shorter 'school days'. Please ask a member of the Kindergarten team for more information!
Friedrich Froebel created the first Kindergarten - a garden or nursery where young children could grow and develop at their own pace, nurtured by knowledgeable and supportive adults. A Froebelian approach is not a method with strict rules, but rather a whole way of thinking about children and childhood, based on a set of values and principles.
