Services
The Village Pre-School, Upham was opened in 1991. We are registered with Hampshire County Council Services for Young Children (Registered number 510957), and the Office for Standards in Education (OfSted) (Registered number 2603777), who inspect the setting on a regular basis. We are members of the Early Years Alliance and The National Day Nurseries Association.
Parrywood Childcare is owned by Claire Parry, Stacey Parry and Vanessa Wood. Claire and Vanessa have worked together for a number of years and are both qualified to degree level. Stacey joined the team at Parrywood in 2009, qualifying as a Level 3 Early Years Educator in 2018 before completing her Early Years Initial Training in 2020, gaining Early Years Teacher Status.
It is delivered by our Early Talk Boost trained staff who work with the children by reading stories, singing songs and doing activities based on the story. LEGO-based therapy encourages children to interact with each other whilst they work together to build models. They enjoy meeting the farmers, and sitting on the tractors and other farm vehicles.
All our staff hold: GDPR Awareness, Paediatric First Aid, Level 2 Food Hygiene, Level 2 Health & Safety, Prevent, Basic Safeguarding and Female Genital Mutilation Awareness qualifications, (unless replaced with a more advanced qualification as listed). At Pre-School: Jane enjoys art and craft activities.

My youngest started at Parrywood back in September. Right from the start we have been really impressed by their professionalism and high standards of child care. Since the beginning of lockdown they have sent us weekly packs of amazing crafts and activities which we have all enjoyed doing. Fab early years setting!
