The Old Granary is a must-visit, perfect-for-every-occasion, all-day caf, bar and dining room situated on the banks of the River Frome in the picturesque market town of Wareham. A real part of the local community, it is a vibrant and popular space where locals and visitors alike come to belong, relax, share and celebrate.

Services
We've been working hard over the past few months to make sure all of our delicious food dishes are just that little bit better. As well as our usual favourites like Steak & Tangle Foot Pie, Hand-Battered Fish & Chips and our famous H&W Burger, we've also got a range of tasty sandwiches and of course our delicious Sunday Roasts, which we think are the best (apart from Mum's!).
As part of a Family Brewery drinks our really important to us, and we've scoured the world to find the best drinks available. It starts with our Badger beers, brewed just 15 miles down the road in Blandford, then there's lagers and wines from around the world, spirits and soft drinks. So pop in and relax with a drink or two on the banks of the River Frome, you're guaranteed to find something to quench your thirst.
A Saxon town dating back 2000 years, this walled town was once a stronghold for King Alfred the Great. The Saxon church of St Martin's is the oldest in Dorset. Visit the Rex Cinema as it is the only gas-lit cinema in the country! Positioned strategically in the gap between the Purbeck Hills, Corfe Castle was a royal fortress for 600 years.
Unfortunately we don't have any parking, there is public parking on The Quay and a number of other public car parks in Wareham within a short walk. Take the A35 from Poole, at the bakers arms roundabout take the first exit on to the A351. Continue to follow the A351 for approximately 4 miles proceeding over 3 roundabouts.

My partner and I walked into the Granary today and as locals we did not expect to be greeted with the aggression that we did as we saw no one at the reception desk and looked around and saw one table free with no reserved on the table. So we started taking off our coats and the young aggressive lad came over and asked us what we were doing and we explained and he sharply said this table is reserved and they will be here in 15 minutes now at that point I thought maybe this guy is really busy although it did look very relaxed in there. My partner and I have been going down there for four years now

We used the room upstairs for a family birthday at the weekend. The staff were very professional and polite, checking we had everything we needed regularly. There was many of us there and the food was excellent quality and amazing value. Thank you for helping to make my mother in law's birthday so special. Food was devoured too quickly to take photos of

Ordinary food - I was disappointed both with vegetarian choices and quality of food. Burgers are imitation meat which makes it feel store bought. Sweet potato fries were nice. Soup was quite ordinary while the accompanying bread did not feel like sourdough. They might be popular for meat dishes but vegetarian didn't feel like their thing. Id however recommend their forum lager
Nice location, great ambience and views. People were friendly, nice cosy place which makes you want to visit. Outdoor seating available. The place tends to be very busy, make sure you book or reserve. Parking available.
