I was invited to center people after applying for a job on their website.
I went in and was told by the associate director that with my qualifications and Japanese language skills Id never find any kind of decent entry level job, or maybe any kind of job at all. This may or may not have been true but it was the rude, arrogant and unhelpful attitude of the AD that really upset me. This was in 2010.
In 2012 I knew a Japanese girl with great English and lots of experience in the pharmaceutical industry who had a very similar experience to me.
She applied for a job, went it to 'register

Don't call us, we'll call you seems to be the Centre People way. Having applied for a job that was advertised online, I was invited to the office to interview and take a couple of tests including typing and IT skills. Not having any idea what these entailed, I scored quite spectacularly badly, mainly because they only accept one way of doing things, even if you know another. Once you are registered and have been for an interview, they will call you about jobs, just not necessarily the type of jobs you are looking for. This is because, it is unlikely the type of job you are looking for
