Services
Hatton Law was founded in 2008 by Deborah Hatton and Lauren Osborne who have worked together for ten years. Deborah is a solicitor who has worked in Kent since 1995 and has extensive experience on divorce, separation, children and financial matters. Deborah is currently a member of the General Purposes Committee of Kent Law Society and a Member of Resolution, the professional body for family lawyers.
Please be aware we are still open with reduced staff on location and whilst maintaining full social distancing measures for them. We are not holding face to face client meetings but will continue to advise via email and telephone. We would prefer any documents to be sent by email, unless absolutely necessary, and any payments to be over the telephone or using online banking.
Whether you are looking forward to a new marriage or civil partnership and want to consider a "Pre-Nup", or you are going through a difficult break-up, we can help. With many years of experience we know it is often practical, common sense legal advice that is most needed, not a long lecture on the law.
There has been a lot of media attention around mediation over recent years, but the fact is it has been around for a long time. The difference now is that you are expected to have at least looked at the possibility of trying mediation as an alternative to asking the court to deal with your dispute and to demonstrate that you have done this you will have to, in most cases, have attended a mediation assessment meeting.
In modern society it is not unusual for people to have two or more long-term relationships or marriages in their lifetime. Hatton Law can advise you on living together and pre-nuptial agreements. These can help set out your understanding with your partner from the start, and prevent expensive and heartbreaking problems later on.

What can I say, thankyou really does not do it justice. All the way through the whole process Sharon and the team at Hatton law were amazing. You have restored my faith in justice.
I'm a father who had been trying to get regular contact with my two sons and had the stereotypical difficulties. Everything that my boys and I wanted has happened. We all owe you a debt of gratitude.
To Any single dads thinking about making things official I would recommend this company. It was worth all the blood sweat and tears.
Thankyou again.😊

Easy to get an appointment and the 1hr session we had was great with useful suggestions, names of useful contacts and absolutely no pressure to instruct Sharon unless we think we really need help later.
