WE HAVE PROVIDED THIS FOR INFORMATION ON THE ADVICE OF RENFREWSHIRE COUNCIL http://www.renfrewshire.gov.uk. Abbey Nursery, established in 1997, is a custom built facility offering high quality education and day care. Our aim is to ensure that a safe, high quality provision is offered to children aged 6 weeks to 5 years.
Staff have been involved in designing and planning our purpose built facility to maximise your child's potential for learning in a happy, stimulating, safe and secure environment. We believe that we can best meet the needs of individual children by working closely with parents and carers.

Services
We operate from 7:30am until 6:00pm and are open throughout the year with exception of the statutory holidays. There are 4 childcare rooms, the Young Baby Room for children aged 6 weeks to 1 year, the Baby Room for children aged 1-2, Toddler Room for the 2-3 year old children and Pre School Rooms for 3-5 year olds.
Fees are payable monthly in advance and for your convenience we operate a standing order system. Fees are calculated so that you pay the same payment each month. A deposit of 2 weeks fees is payable to reserve your child's place. This deposit is refundable when leaving, if fees are up to date and appropriate notice given.
At Abbey nursery we endeavour to select and recruit quality staff that are, or can be, trained and skilled to meet job requirements.
The service recognises the value of the recruitment process from an equal opportunities context and is therefore committed to treating all potential candidates fairly and courteously at all times regardless of their sex, age, disability, race, sexual orientation, religion or beliefs, domestic circumstances, social and employment status, gender reassignment, philosophical belief or political affiliation.

Provision for the under 2's consists of 2 bright spacious rooms providing a safe, secure, welcoming and inclusive environment offering a wide range of activities catering for children of all abilities and stages of development. Each room caters for up to 15 babies. The stimulating provision and learning experiences are planned by qualified child care staff with reference to the 'Birth to Three: supporting our youngest child' framework.
At Abbey we don't like to think of our children as "terrible two's" but more as "testing two's"! Children of this age are exploring boundaries and staff are very skilled at providing an excellent balance between allowing them freedom to learn and experiment, learning social skills, consideration for others, and the need to follow rules for their own safety and that of others.

The only nursery I would send any of my children to, my oldest daughter went there for 3 years and every staff member treated her like their own, so much so my youngest daughter has been there since she was 7months old and is now 3 and she loves it and all the staff that has cared for her. All staff have been Very professional and caring for the children even through these tough times during covid, all the restrictions haven’t changed the care and nurturing my daughter gets the minute she is in the door.

Fantastic Nursery. I have placed both my children into the care of Abbey Nursery over the last 7 years and the care and attention both my children have had has meant my kids have thrived throughout what is some of the most important and influential years of their life. The nursery rooms are laid out really well, the activities are really well structured and the staff take care of my children like they are their own. There was a time where there was a period of unrest with management changes, as you will see from another review, however I stuck with the nursery and I am so glad I did. Catriona and

Terrible! After three years attending this nursery I had to remove my son before he started his preschool year. Numerous manager and staff changes lead to no continuity in care or education of the children. The proof is in the latest Care Inspectorate report from January 2017. An establishment, which used to achieve Very good and good for each dimension has now slipped to only achieving an 'adequate' score. Says it all really about this establishments objectives. Good luck if you decide to place your children here.

Avoid at all costs !! not a place for children as the only thing this place is interested in is the money the children generate . they couldn't give a hoot about the welfare or safety of the children in their care as long as the daft parents like me and everyone else pay that's all they care about , this place is far from being a caring environment for children and all the staff do is stand about and gossip all day
