Services
Mill of Nethermill has been awarded 4 and 5 Star Quality Assurance grading with VisitScotland in our self-catering accommodation. The old mill has recently been converted into four cottage style apartments. They have been tastefully decorated with Scottish decor and antiques. Interior decorating includes Scottish Tartan of Clans from the local area (all but one) which include Skene, Hay, McKay, and Gunn.
It is a fantastic 3 bedroom apartment with scenic views over the Tore burn, the 300 year old stone bridge, and the cliffs beyond - absolutely stunning! Tore View has beautiful sea views from the lounge and it's own private patio. Tore View can accommodate from 2 to 4 people which makes it ideal for friends and family.
The Mill is a large ground floor two bedroom self catering apartment which is easily accessible. There are lovely views of the Tore Burn and surrounding cliff top scenery. At night you can fall asleep listening to the sounds of the burn flowing into the sea - very tranquil. There are beautiful sea views just a few steps away from The Mill.
RSBP Troup Head near Pennan - Fantastic bird nature reserve. Filled with all sorts of sea birds - Gannets, Puffins, Guillemots, and Razorbills. Though perhaps best seen from the sea, there is a short walk which visits the clifftop overlooking the gannets' nests. RSPB members get free entry to the Macduff Marine Aquarium on Tuesdays from April-September.
Aden Country Park & Farming Museum, Mintlaw - Aden Country Park has been recognised as one of the country's best green spaces with a prestigious Green Flag award. The Aberdeenshire Farming Museum is in a semi-circular Home Farm steading. Boyne Castle - ruined castle & very overgrown & crumbly. Turn towards the Boyndie Visitor center, go past that, & take your first left to a minor road that parallels the coast.

This place is just amazing, we’ve stayed in The Mill for the 3rd time now, and it’s as perfect as the 1st time we came which was over 9 years ago. Bill and Lynn have an eye for detail and quality, from the comfiest beds to the huge bath. The Mill is super warm and cozy, we actually had to turn the heating down! They now have Netflix and free Wi-Fi, and the Covid cleaning is unreal! We felt super safe coming here, the pebble beach is great for walks. The fact you can bring your furry friends is just a bonus. There is no light pollution at night so the stars are bright and there are hundreds
