Lomondside Stud is situated on the outskirts of Drymen within the Buchanan Castle Estate. The Equestrian Centre has the ideal location being off the beaten track with excellent hacking. Highly qualified tuition available on our horses or your own. We offer a range of lessons and cater for all levels from beginners to competition riders.
We also offer training packages for BHS exams. Liz is a full instructor of The British Horse Society (BHSI) and holds the Diploma of the National Pony Society (NPSD). She is well known as an excellent instructor and was a chief examiner for the BHS. Liz was a member of the National Pony Society judges panel (now retired) and has judged throughout the UK and abroad.

Services
We provide tuition for all ages and all standards of riders, from complete beginners to competition riders. Book a lesson on one of our well schooled horses or ponies. Alternatively bring your own. We can also provide lessons on how to lunge and long reining. An excellent way to improve your seat. Lunge lessons give riders an opportunity to focus soley on their position in the saddle without having to worry about guiding the horse.
My daughter has been riding regularly at Lomondside for the last 5 months, she had lost confidence after having lessons elsewhere but was keen to start riding again. Liz identified immediately what was needed for her to regain her confidence and has built this up so that she is able to canter on any of the ponies provided and is now starting jumping.

My love of horses is thanks to Liz and Pat Rennie. I worked for them for many years and gained BHS Stages under there dedication and guidance. I learned soo much from both of them including turning out to be a not too bad a rider. I am now Asisstant Manager of a Thoroughbred Stud and proud to have great responsibility in caring for top class mares etc and have part responsibility in looking after Harbour Law the St ledger Winner 2016 and other high class horses when on break from training. So if your young and keen and want a career in the industry or just want to become a great rider then Lomondside
