We are a family run farm shop and caf on the Staffordshire and Derbyshire border set in the picturesque village of Denstone beside the River Churnet. Our farm shop is part of a thriving beef and arable agricultural business with the shop and caf based on the farm overlooking the fields. Our mission is to use our own produce from the farm and to source high quality local produce with provenance.
We pride ourselves on the award-winning creations from our farm, butchery and kitchen as well as our award winning customer service. In every corner of the business whether it's the Butchery, Deli, Caf or Gift Shop, we do our best to hunt out the best local suppliers to fill our shelves with the most eclectic and original range of local produce.

Services
Initially the old milking parlour was converted into a small farm shop and caf with the help of a rural enterprise grant from DEFRA. In 2013 we expanded the business into a purpose built, and much bigger premises which now has a large 100 seat caf overlooking the beautiful Staffordshire countryside.
It's local, award winning produce, made and served by a team of people dedicated to quality and tradition is at the heart of what we do. The family at Denstone Hall have been farming and producing food in the village for generations. Many things have changed over the years, but what we do now (and the values we live by) have changed very little in 100 years.
We don't just run the Farm Shop and Caf, our business includes beef livestock and arable farming too!. We rear our own beef cattle, mainly native breeds such as Herefords, Aberdeen Angus and Long Horns, which are used directly in our own butchery. We rear them outdoors on large open pastures in the fine grazing months and then bring them in over winter and feed them on a corn mix that is made using our own barley.
As a family and a company, we are dedicated to looking after the stunning Staffordshire and Derbyshire countryside that surrounds our farm. At the point of expanding our business in 2013 we were able to design and plan the new building to ensure that we made it as ecological as possible.
It was important to us to create a building and business which is sustainable for the future because, not only is it our own ethos, but it provides the perfect backdrop to our promotion of local food. It's all the little things that make a huge difference, take a look at some of the things we do at Denstone Hall.

Keep your eyes peeled for our Denstone Hall blue and green 'local' stickers in store. This is our guarantee to you that this product has been made, grown or produced in Staffordshire or Derbyshire, 'local' to our farm shop. We have a wide offering of local produce in the farm shop starting as you enter the store with a fabulous and plentiful display of fruit and vegetables.

Facilities - Excellent, Staff - Fantastic, Food - Average (sorry). My wife & I had gone for 'brunch' so both had the half - English. The bacon was dry & the fried egg's yolk was hard. We should have realised when our Order arrived less than two minutes after ordering. Obviously pre-cooking, so not Fresh. Very disappointed and won't go there again for breakfast. Will go to the Deer Park Cafe @ Hoars Cross. SORRY.

Had a wonderful breakfast this morning at Denstone Hall farm shop cafe.
Lovely environment with good social distancing. You take a menu and order at the till. We both has full English breakfasts minus the beans, the food came quickly and was excellent.
Staff are friendly, lots of seating inside and out if the weather is nice.
After we had a walk around the equally excellent farm shop.
Highly recommended!!

We rather liked this place, indeed I am not sure what there is to dislike about it. Yes, some of the prices are a bit steep but you don't have to buy. There's a bit to see which should keep you occupied for an hour or so. There's a pleasant cafe and our lunch overall was very good although the service was a bit slow and my warm beef roll could have done with just a little bit of gravy.
The lemon cheesecake made up for it though.
I was pleased that they have an outdoor cabin for anyone wishing to dine and take their dog.

This place was huge - very deceiving from it outside appearance. The Christmas shop was extensive and well laid out. The farm shop was well stocked and full of tempting goodies. The cafe was worth the wait and the food was delicious. We found it quite by accident but will head out there again for sure!

NOT the best farm shop cafe I have visited. I travel the country. Almost £10 for a ploughman's sandwich and coffee. Don't mind the cost if lovingly made. Certainly not, I ordered cheese not HAM so had to pick the ham out. Cheese was the worst ever, tasteless bland like rubber. I am a keen cheese taster, and this has got to be the worst one ever. Bread stale and not buttered correctly. Few leaves of salad. Few horrible crisps. Absolutely terrible, wish I had gone to Macdonald's or KFC down the road. Too busy to complain. Shop turned out good, staff smart. Cafe seems to be run by kids. Views were
