Fosse Gallery
Founded in 1980, Fosse Gallery has regularly featured some of the most important contemporary British art, presenting work by artists of international standing. It remains in its splendid original Cotswold location in the centre of Stow-on-the Wold, only 90 minutes from London. Fosse Gallery is often described as one of the most important UK art galleries and is proud of the reputation that it has earned by its friendly and professional approach.

Owner, Sharon Wheaton, is well-known in the art world for her keen, experienced eye and her commitment to her gallery artists. Celebrating its 4th decade, I feel so proud of what the gallery has achieved and its continuing philosophy and outlook in today's ever-changing art landscape. My pleasure is in selecting and staging curated exhibitions by talented emerging and established artists.

Dear me, what condescending and touchy staff, I felt like an old fool for thinking aloud. It's not cricket chaps. Thankfully I found that the English tradition of good manners is alive and well at the Red Rag Gallery where I received a courteous welcome.
(Regarding the owner's response below) May I say that actions speak louder than words, however conciliatory. Pride in one's welcome does not entail speaking to an old gent' in a condescending and dismissive manner. Poor show chaps, I'm deducting a star.

I have been visiting (and buying paintings from) this gallery since 1998 and have never been sold a painting! Invariably I have been left to browse without any pressure - if the gallery owner, Sharon, is as busy as usual, either on the phone or with another visitor, well that is normal. I now have walls full of paintings by a wide variety of artists.
A few days ago, I took a friend who had not been to the Fosse Gallery before but had been intrigued by what she identified as the development in Lucy Pratt’s work between her previous exhibition in 2016 and the current one. She wanted to see the

I look forward to visiting the fosse gallery when I am walking in the Cotswolds, I find Sharon Wheaton and her team are friendly and professional the great plus is there is always a new and different exhibition on.
What I particularly appreciate is they are happy to share their knowledge and passion of art but never push for a sale.
I have purchased paintings from the fosse gallery and each time it has been an enjoyable and exciting experience.

Lovely, friendly gallery in the picturesque Cotswold town of Stow-on-the-Wold. I visit every time I visit the Cotswolds & I'm always given a warm welcome, but given space to enjoy to enjoy the exhibitions, which are always so diverse with a super range of artists. Recommend a visit!

Eclectic mix of items over three floors, a good cafe but not always open. A deal can be had. Friendly staff.

Sharon enjoys spinning yarns at other's expense, like a washwoman in a greasy launderette.

If you plan to visit Stow on the Wold you must make time to go along to The Fosse Gallery. You won't be disappointed, the owner Sharon Wheaton has a fantastic eye, and the art on the walls is always the best, varied and very price conscious. The Fosse Gallery team are a delight and always willing to share their knowledge.

Fosse Gallery is a highly-regarded and well-established Cotswold favourite. Its knowledgeable gallerist represents some 14 Royal Academicians. Their regular one-man/woman exhibitions, supplemented by those of less well-known artists, with popular Sunday previews are always positively covered by the arts and local media. Prices, styles and subjects vary widely and there is much here to enhance the homes of visitors to this welcoming Stow-on-the-Wold delight.

I didn't like how the owner put down her competition. She seemed prone to exaggeration. A well presented woman, but bad mouthing lets her down.
