Services
Nature in Art is the world's first museum dedicated exclusively to fine, decorative and applied art inspired by nature. Our growing collection is housed in a fine Georgian mansion dating from the mid 1700's. We regularly change our displays and have a vibrant programme of temporary exhibitions supported by an unrivalled programme of artists in residence.
The exhibition includes art and photography by some of the best known wildlife artists and photographers. With 48 chapters written by famous actors, artists, photographers and charity founders, the words and images in the book are all about celebrating animals. It has a foreword by Virginia McKenna OBE.
To complement our ever-changing displays of work from our own collection, we hold a diverse range of special exhibitions throughout the year. We make regular changes to the items from our collection that are on display. Our collection embraces two and three-dimensional work in all media and styles ranging from Pablo Picasso to David Shepherd.
CAROLE BURY demonstrating her fine art paper textiles. See also here Carole Bury will be working on her exquisite paper-textiles in preparation for three imminent Solo Exhibitions at the Rococo Gardens in Painswick, Bodiam and Cranbrook in Kent. Carole's art practice focuses on drawings and paper-textiles inspired by landscapes and the natural world.
Due to the pandemic the majority of our art courses due to take place in 2020 were postponed until a time it was safe to reschedule. We have given first refusal to those booked on to the original course, however, some participants are unable to attend the new dates and therefore there are a number of places available to book on a number of the courses.

A favourite place for me to visit. Lots of different exhibitions throughout the year with a unique nature based theme, and artists in residence through most of the year. Talks are given on a monthly basis and the education department runs courses for all levels of art skill and school visits. There is a garden, play area and coffee shop

An interesting place to visit with plenty of various types of artistic genre's. As there is quie a lot of things to see outside it was good the weather was favourable. Inside the House were a good selection of Paintings, Sculpture, Carvings etc. etc. so plenty to see. There was also an outdoor studio with exhibits from local artists. A Cafe Inside provided a selection of food of a good quality. Supplied by helpful and obliging staff.

Lovely, beautiful surroundings and garden. What a gem, swimming in invertebrates. Unusual for Gloucester. The tea room/coffee shop is very pleasant, but perhaps needs slight improvement/sprucing up; don't read gentrified. My wife and I had coffee and cake. The (filtered) coffee, could have been more fresh and the cakes certainly tasted home made. My kids attending an art project, which used mainly recyclates and snipped flowers and leaves to make a lamp; very thoughtful.
