The Cock Inn has been owned by the Bedford Family since 1999 and they welcome you to their 17th century pub with accommodation set in the historical village of Sheering which is mentioned in the Doomsday Book of 1086.

The Pub offers relaxed dining whilst the bar offers a friendly atmosphere along with showing all live sporting fixtures. The well-stocked cellar offers a variety of real ales and lagers along with various optic spirits and a wide range of Whitley Neill gins and designer tonics. The secluded Beer Garden is ideal for Summer dining or just relaxing with friends with our patio offering smoke free seating.
This is a soft and rounded wine, with characteristics of cooked apple and underlying notes of vanilla. Bursting full with grass, elderflower and gooseberry flavours, this is a youthful and invigorating white. This wine springs from the glass, offering plumes of gooseberry, mango, blackcurrant leaf and elderflower.

Well what can I say apart from absolutely fantastic place to stay. A perfect family run business who bend over backwards to do the best for you and nothing is too much trouble, I’ve stayed there for around 2 months for work commitments but il be frequenting back there on a weekly basis as I felt a part of the community and everyone is very welcoming. The rooms are cleaned everyday with fresh clean linen on a daily basis. In a morning your welcomed with a breakfast ranging from a continental or a full English but can be catered for your own Reqruitments.The food is 5* too and the waitress staff

Absolutely wonderful place to stay. Cheryl and Bill and there staff are brilliant and really look after everyone. The food is excellent and the breakfast is a great start to the day. The rooms are very well presented and clean and the beds very comfortable. It's a great place to stay, we have been there many times and it's our place of choice. The bar and restaurant areas are gorgeous and have a warm welcoming atmosphere, if you stay once you will probably like us return it's just lovely.
