I'm Jon, a photographer based in Glasgow. Since gaining my photography degree in 1996 my background has been in the creative industries, as not only a photographer, but in fine art printing and handcrafted framemaking. Having enjoyed photographing weddings throughout this time, in 2010 I ventured out on my own, working full time as a wedding and portrait photographer and I haven't looked back since.
I have a passion for photography and the spontaneous and fast paced approach of weddings in particular. I run Jon Ramsden Photography from my studio base in Glasgow. Covering the length and breadth of Scotland and beyond, I would describe my style as contemporary but classic and timeless and my approach relaxed but professional.

Jon photographed our wedding at The Cruin back in May. Our friends and family have all passed comment on how stunning our photos are, especially the off guard/candid ones capturing authentic moments of the day Everything was so laid back, relaxed and caught in the moment. Jon went above and beyond for us on our wedding day, driving us to our charter in the rain and caught some stunning photos. We got our pictures back super quick too and we couldn't be happier with them. Would highly recommend Jon to any couple getting married.

We returned to Jon after we were incredibly happy with the service, photographs and products he delivered on our wedding day in April 2018.
This time we brought along our 1 year old baby daughter for some professional family photos. Jon had considered everything possible, the studio was set up and warm (despite the cold November weather!). John was really efficient, patient and professional and took some really fantasic photos. Delivery of the photos was incredibly fast too.
I'd have no hesitation recommending Jon to anyone looking for portraits or a wedding photographer. Everything is so calm

Due to circumstances and changes on with our date/venue, Jon was so understanding.

We booked Jon after I met him at a wedding fair, and I'm so glad we did. On our wedding day he made us both feel completely at ease and he captured the day perfectly. We really wanted natural, candid shots and Jon delivered. He was very unobtrusive but was still able to wrangle guests more effectively than any of the bridesmaids/groomsmen when we needed him to. The quality of the images Jon delivered to us were second to none and we would absolutely use him again without hesitation, were we to do it all again! We met Jon at a wedding fair and after chatting and looking at some of his work we knew we wanted to book for our wedding. Right from the start the communication with Jon was great and we were confident he knew exactly what we were looking for. Jon was great on the day and made the process so much easier for us as we knew we didn’t want to spend too much time getting formal pictures. Jon stepped in at very short notice to photograph our wedding, after we met him while visiting our venue a couple of months before the wedding. We liked Jon as soon as we spoke to him as he was very relaxed and happy to tailor a package to what we were looking for. Jon's style is very natural (though he's more than happy to do the formal shots too) and we really love our photos. Highly recommended.

Jon at Ramsden Photography is just fantastic. From the initial consultation to the day of the wedding we always felt as though he would go the extra mile to make sure that you had the best possible images of the day.
The quality and technical detail of his pictures are amazing but he was also great to have around on the day of the wedding. I felt like I was in very safe hands and that meant a lot to me.

We took our 9 month old daughter along to have some photographs taken in the studio at Ramsden Photography. We were delighted with the stunning photographs of our baby girl! Jon made us feel very comfortable at the photo shoot and as a result Katie was relaxed and happy to be photographed! We love how honest and natural the pictures are and I feel Jon has really captured Katie's wee personality! Can highly recommend!

I could not praise Jon and his work highly enough. He really listened to what we wanted from our wedding photography and put this into action without being at all intrusive on the day. I am so happy with his finished work, every detail has been captured and we have so many perfect photographs to choose from. I cannot rate Ramsden Photography enough. From the start Jon was really accommodating in meeting us and answering all our questions! On the day our photos were captured in a relaxed, fun and unobtrusive way- which was just what we were looking for! The results were perfect and very soon after the wedding we were faced with the difficult choice of selecting our favourites from so many amazing shots!
