The only effective and permanent way to fight our anxiety, restlessness, fears and worries is to face them head-on. With the right guidance we find the courage and the will to wrestle these demons and emerge as a whole, stronger, peaceful and joyful person. Counselling and psychotherapy can help you grow and become the person who you were originally designed to be.
My practice, Sustainable Empowerment in Hammersmith, West London provides counselling and psychotherapy for a wide range of conditions and traumas. I developed my practice, Sustainable Empowerment, as a result of my motivation to help people see light at the end of the tunnel. My purpose is to empower individuals and lead them to explore their inner strengths so that they may write their own destiny and gain more behavioural control.

Services
At Sustainable Empowerment, I support people who are going through a difficult phase of their life by providing them counselling and cultivating their understanding in a supportive environment. In this way you can freely share your feelings and emotions with me as I adopt a broader psychodynamic approach to help you solve your problems while bringing a positive change in your life.
At Sustainable Empowerment, I offer my support to people who are in need of psychodynamic counselling by helping them achieve a better insight into their thought processes. I help them understand the reasons for their confusion, frustration, anger and sadness.
To adopt a psychodynamic approach it is important to have a good therapeutic relationship, so that people will find themselves in a safe place where they can openly talk about and discuss their difficult issues. This requires having a two way effort and therefore I work collaboratively with my clients by enabling them to feel safe and comfortable exploring their difficulties.

At Sustainable Empowerment, in Hammersmith London I provide support to those who are suffering from anger management problems. There are many factors that can trigger anger in a person. Some of these can be due to certain personal experiences in their life. In my career I have noticed that anger mostly occurs when an individual feels insulted, frustrated or deceived.
At Sustainable Empowerment located in Hammersmith, West London, I support those who are suffering from bereavement and grief to help them regain control of their life. There can be many reasons why you would be in need of bereavement and grief counselling. People usually suffer from bereavement if they have experienced the death of someone dear to them.
At Sustainable Empowerment, located in Hammersmith London I offer depression counselling to those who perceive life as being a dark room with no light. As having in-depth knowledge about human psychology I perceive depression to be an extremely serious form of mental condition that can have a negative impact on your relationships and life.

The lockdown in March forced me to come to terms with my mental health and unhealthy coping mechanisms. Richard helped me to trace my problems back to their roots and reinterpret events in a more healthy manner. After several sessions I noticed my mind was starting to automatically apply what I had learned, challenging unhealthy thoughts and replacing them with better ones. It is now one month after our last session and I am glad to confirm this has been a lasting change and my mental health has continued to improve.

Since early childhood I had learnt to live with trauma and anxiety, and, as an adult, learnt that I needed to create this in my life as it had become a form of addiction. Through psychotherapy with Richard I gradually became much more self-aware and learnt how to change destructive thought patterns into positive actions. I really feel that I now have sustainable empowerment.

I was recommended to Richard through a doctor friend because my anger was out of control. I felt it everywhere, at home, in the office with colleagues and even in shops or on public transport. Richard was able to help me find the roots of my anger and heal the wounds I had been pretending were not there. I have learnt how to use my anger constructively but most of it has dissipated and where there was anger there is now a sense of wisdom and simply being.β

Having had therapy before I was starting to wonder if my condition was curable. Meeting Richard changed this mentality, as I began to understand that there was nothing to cure but instead, I learned to accept and understand myself. I found my sessions a life changing experience and recognize that I now approach what life throws at me in a completely different manner. I am feeling happy and contented.
