I am a positive, friendly, registered and accredited counsellor for individual adults over the age of 25. I have more than 25 years' experience (well over the 10,000 hours required for expertise in any area) in private practice and in the NHS. At present I work exclusively in private practice.
Due to my many years' experience doing short term work in the NHS, I am always mindful of offering concentrated help in as short a time as possible, so you may find that you do not need a long piece of work with me in order to get a good therapeutic outcome.I never lose sight of the fact that you have come to feel better and then leave as soon as possible, feeling more equipped for life.

Services
I started working as a therapist in 1995. Prior to this I had worked as a teacher for thirteen years following a degree in Philosophy and a post graduate qualification in education. As a therapist I have worked in the NHS, in private practice, in student counselling, in employee support within organisations and as a counselling trainer and supervisor.
I work with individual adults. I offer short term solution focused counselling, or open ended counselling or psychotherapy, depending on what is required. I see clients for regular weekly appointments at the same time each week. I believe that our common human struggles have ageless, existential themes, and I bring a humanistic, holistic and psychodynamic understanding to my work with clients.
The 94 and 272 buses stop at the end of Abinger Road, the E3 stops close by on The Avenue, and Stamford Brook and Turnham Green tube stations on the district line are a short walking distance away. I am close to Chiswick Business Park and the 27 bus stop is a short walk from me on Chiswick High Road.
My appointment times are from 9.30am until the latest appointment at 6.10pm on weekdays only. Appointments are weekly at the same time. I ask people to pay for an assessment session prior to the appointment by internet transfer, or bring cash or a cheque on the day. For ongoing work I usually invoice at the end of the month, however, some clients prefer to pay weekly as they go.
