Services
Deddington Health Centre is a surgery in the north of Oxfordshire, set in the very attractive village of Deddington which is on the edge of the Cotswolds. The surgery is in a very rural setting in that the nearest towns are 5 or more miles away. There is Banbury to the north, Chipping Norton to the West, Brackley to the East, and Woodstock, Kidlington and Bicester further south.
Each day one of our GPs is on call with no pre-booked appointments. Therefore any patient who needs to see a doctor urgently can do so on the same day, but not necessarily with the doctor of their choice. In an emergency situation we advise you to contact 999. If you need to speak to someone urgently but the situation is not a 999 emergency the NHS 111 service is also available.
Calling the repeat prescription phone line on 01869 338847 which is open at the following times: Mondays to Friday 10am - 3pm. Dropping off the repeat prescription request at the surgery. There is a box by the main Dispensary entrance where repeat requests can be left at any time. Providing all of the items ordered are on your repeat list they will be ready for collection 2 full working days later.
To receive results please call the surgery on 01869 338611 between 10.00am and 3.00pm Monday to Thursday, and between 10.00am and midday on Fridays. Please wait 5 working days from when the sample was taken before trying to get results. You can ring the main surgery number 01869 338611 to get blood and urine etc specimen results where Patient Services will take your name and phone number.
Please ensure you also include a photocopy of photo ID eg. Passport, Driving Licence) and proof of address (eg. Utility bill, tenancy agreement etc. For any children Under 5 being registered please include up to date child immunisation history. This information can be obtained from their red "child health record book".

Don't waste your time trying to get an appointment here, go straight to A&E or die. Either way you'll see a medical professional faster.

Service on the front desk can be very obnoxious depending who you get, the TV's playing the radio are far to LOUD in the waiting room.
Parking spaces are very limited and small.
Please work on your patient/customer service reception staff, you're front of house !

I have been registered with this practice for 40 years. I have absolute confidence in them. The team of doctors, nurses, pharmacists and admin staff are second to none. I have always been treated with kindness and understanding. The staff and doctors are always helpful and go out of their way to make sure you are looked after. The pastoraI ca I received when my husband died some years ago was amazing
Thank you.

I reported some months ago about the NHS and Deddington Medical Centre, I was somewhat perturbed by the actions and advice regarding a medical condition I had, although I was experiencing sheer pain and taking medication, some light at the end of the tunnel. A Dr from the practice wrote to me personally about my review and my medical condition, it's good to report this had been professionally handled and having received the minor surgery I required I would like to say a warm Thankyou to the Doctors and there colleagues, it's also worth taking note to saying a big Thankyou to a particular Doctor

A GP service that is second to none, & actually seems to see the patients as customers. A fabulous ethos that permeates through all aspects of the surgery ie reception, dispensary etc. Very pleased & feel lucky to be a patient here.

So far, the care our family has had has not been found wanting - they are efficient and caring. The dispensary team I have found to be very good also.
