Services
I took over the Podiatry Clinic in Cheadle Hulme in 2004, which first opened its doors some time in the 1960's by Brenda Ashton. I grew up in the Lake District and trained at the Durham school of Podiatrist Medicine. I qualified in 1999 and worked in West Cumbria Community NHS. I ran a small cottage hospital in Millom and looked after all the foot care needs in the area.
Routine appointment times are allocated every 30 minutes. For the initial appointment please arrive 5 minutes early to fill in a medical form and bring details of any medication and relevant illnesses. At this appointment, if necessary, a treatment plan will be made and fees discussed if they vary from the routine fee.
Biomechanics looks at the mechanics of joints and muscles and how they relate to each other within the body. Biomechanics from a podiatrists perspective is looking at how people walk, run and move, and the structures that get stressed and strained within the foot and the leg. A biomechanical podiatrist assesses the mechanics of the lower limb and how it relates to the rest of the body, using different techniques.
Sports Podiatry deals with the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of conditions of the feet and lower limbs. At Andrew Fryer Podiatry, we have a special interest in the diagnosis and treatment of foot and lower leg problems. Using a detailed biomechanical assessment, we can more accurately diagnose your problem and its root cause.
