The Blackpool And Fylde Dance Academy BAFDA is a local dancing which offers fun, affordable dance lessons covering all aspects of Theatre Dance. Classes available for ages 18 months+ and above. B.A.F.D.A aims not only to teach the art of dance, but to give students a strong sense of confidence and achievement.

18 months parent and child classes to young-adult in a family-friendly, safe and supportive environment. We believe our first responsibility is to treat our students, their families, with the upmost respect. We constantly strive to provide a premiere dance education worthy of our outstanding community reputation.
Ballet is the foundation of all dance forms and will maximize technique and longevity in a career of dance. It provides grace, poise, and technique needed to be proficient in all other areas of dance. Students are taught proper body placement, body alignment, barre and centre floor work, along with across the floor combinations.
This is an introductory class for our 3 & 4 year olds containing ballet, creative movement, and tap with an introduction to Acro Dance. Young dancers will learn the basic ballet steps while learning how to follow direction and imitate movement and gross motor skill development games in a positive and fun environment.

Bafda is simply fantastic, the classes are well constnected and provide clear instructions in a fun and friendly environment. Emily and felicity attend Saturday dance and Thursday acro at BAFDA and absolutely love all of their classes. Miss Leanne’s teaching is second to none and both girls have made amazing progress under her tutelage. The older… girls who help also deserve a mention for the way they support and help to in instructed the younger pupils. The Christmas show, which rounds off the year is truly magical and gives the pupils great encouragement and experience of performing

I would recommend Blackpool & Fylde Dance Academy to anyone looking for a happy and inclusive dance school for their child. Both of my daughters have been part of this dance school over a number of years and I am always impressed by Miss Leanne and her teams consistent commitment, dedication and kindness to all of the children. Throughout lock down dance lessons continued...a great source of fun exercise and stability for the children in uncertain times. Dance is celebrated here and no matter what your ability everyone is treated the same and encouraged to achieve and feel good about themselves

This dance school is amazing - Miss Leanne and her dance family are brilliant. They have help my very shy girl come right out of her shell and even dancing on stage to a packed audience. My daughter has made many friends and loves dancing with them.

I’ve been dancing with Miss Leanne since i was 3 and still love every minute of it and i’m now 13, very supporting and friendly environment of both the students and staff. I’ve progressed really well with Miss Leanne and over the past year there has been multiple online lessons during lockdown and constant support.

My daughter has attended BAFDA since she was 2 years old when she started in the Melody Bear class. She is now nearly 15 and attends 3 classes per week in ballet tap modern and jazz which she loves. Miss Leanne makes the classes fun but at the same time the pupils are able to work towards graded examinations and progress. This balanced approach has played an invaluable part of my daughter’s childhood and we are forever grateful to Miss Leanne for this.

Lovely, homely dance school. Miss Leanne is great with all ages and involves the older girls with teaching the younger ones as they get older. Poppy takes part in ballet, tap, modern, jazz, formal exams and shows and loves every minute During COVID the virtual sessions were amazing, Miss Leanne offered lessons right from lockdown to ensure none of the children missed out. The Dance school is run by a passionate teacher which is evident in the children’s desire to learn ❤️

Absolutely love this dance school. Our daughter, Amelie, has been attending since she was two and just loves it. Miss Leanne is such a caring, patient, inclusive teacher and Amelie has grown in confidence so much. She really feels part of the school and is so proud of what she achieves. 100% recommend.
