All I can say is don’t stay here. The whole place smells of stale cigarette smoke. Our room was so stuffy and we couldn’t open the window as it was ground floor leading on to the car park. Our neighbours were noisy (not the fault of the hotel). Unfortunately our room was next to the hotel’s water system and this was also very noisy. Eventually around 1am we asked the Night Porter to move us to a different room (he was polite and helpful) which he did. In this room, the bins weren’t emptied and the toilet didn’t work.
This is a nightmare of a hotel. Like I said, just do not stay here

The hotel was very clean throughout, the service was good and the team were definitely 5 star, the only reason I gave it 4 stars was the poor quality floor in my room and the fact that at peak times there was literally no hot water as demand had exceeded supply - have a look at the photos. These were minor things though. I would definitely stay again, the breakfast was well prepared and plentiful and it was the most comfortable hotel bed I've slept in. Overall, very nice, many thanks!!

Was not impressed with my stay at this hotel at all. Attended because of a wedding but would not have picked this hotel if I knew what the rooms where like. The exterior was very nice but the rooms were very dark and musky. The stay was made even worse when we tried to shower for the event. The shower curtain was not appropriate and flooded the entire bathroom. Not only this but the shower was so close to the wall that it was impossible to wash as well as it was a small trickle! We were woken by a fire alarm at 8am which we know cannot be helped but made things even worse when we were awoken early

We were here for my son's wedding. I stayed the night before and the night of the wedding. The wedding itself was great. Food was good, service of a high quality and nothing was too much trouble.. The room was comfortable and of good quality the only problem was the fire alarm went off both nights at 5 am the Friday night it went off a further 4 times so couldn't go back to sleep. Breakfast was of good quality ingredients

We are pleased to use the Calcot for Christmas and New Year. We have at least one lunch there as we approach the end of the year.
However the highlight is New Years Eve when we arrive at about 6.30pm and go to our pre-booked bedroom, relax and nave a nice bath. We then get ready in our dinner suits and dresses and meet up in the bar where we are offered spritzers and canapes. Then we open our bar accounts ( but be careful, we had some so-and-so put his drinks on our bill one year !) and start on the heavier stuff.
We booked our table when we booked the package so we are shown to it. It is

I stayed in this hotel with my work and it is not an amazing hotel but then on the other hand it could be a lot worse. The rooms are well presented and have the basic extras that you tend to get i.e tea, coffee, basic kettle. The restaurant was expensive and a lot of the food seemed to be overpriced. However, make sure you try the steak's, they really were of a good quality. Overall, i would definately say that this is a hotel for business trips.
