The Weigh Inn Hotel itself was slightly dated in decor but the evening meal we had was delicious, loved the posh chips.
Unfortunately we stayed in the lodges at the back of the hotel which was nothing more than sheds really, decor was terrible obviously not been done for sometime. Noise was bad as a function was on, so youngsters coming and going who weren't quiet.
Free breakfast was disappointing, waited 30 minutes after finished it to receive our toast. After the meal the evening before we expected a top notch service & food but not up to the same standard.
Conveniently situated for the Northlink

Where to begin.. Waited around 30 minutes before someone offered us a menu, staff then needed another reminder to take our order. Finally some diva princess arrived who couldn't have been more passive-aggressive and disinterested. After another 30 minutes or so still no food had arrived, so we asked for an update at the bar. "Problems with the order system" was the offered excuse. In the meanwhile many guests had come, eaten and gone by the time our food arrived. Food was poor and seemed quickly thrown together.

Hotel part was lovely, receptionist and the night/early morning porter was lovely. Bar & pool tables with restaurant, steak pie was nice however service was slow. We stayed one night but honestly avoid the lodges if possible... they are extremely noisy. You can hear traffic, motorbikes and to top it off the next lodge to us (17) arrived at midnight with a roaring BMW car and parked right outside the lodge. If you want a good night's rest don't stay here in the Lodges.

Sorry to have to relate our experience having travelled from Stirling five hour journey was really impressed by the outside look of the hotel.reception was nice receptionist was lovely.she informed us that we were being allocated a lodge.we were somewhat taken aback when we entered the lodge?.it turned out to be a very small square room I don't know if it was due to the room maybe being unoccupied for a length of time but the smell of damp pervaded the entire room.my wife who suffers from cold told me that she was unable to stay in the room and went to sit in the car to enquire if there was another
