All our Academy courses are fully accredited by institutions such as the IFE, BTEC, Skills for Justice, MCA and City and Guilds. All income generated by Red One is returned to Devon & Somerset Fire Authority, this is then used for the specific purpose of maintaining and improving the ongoing safety of our local community and firefighters.

Services
Our water safety courses are usually attended by people in the emergency services, environmental, construction, highways, civil engineering, groundworks or leisure trade. Such work carries important and serious risks, the risks can be varied and while the prevention of drowning must be a key priority, there are many other important risks that must be considered, including health hazards.
STCW certificates are mandatory worldwide in order to conduct any form of work onboard a commercial vessel over 24 metres. Our Access & Rescue School offers a range of courses including Confined Space, Safe Working at Height, Water Safety and Rope Rescue. We are a City & Guilds accredited training facility and offer the full suite of City & Guilds confined space courses. Our training is delivered by serving or retired firefighters of Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service.
Since Red One began operations, 47 out of 53 Fire and Rescue Services nationwide have entrusted Red One to train their firefighters. We are known for providing the very best in instructor training, but this isn't the only type of training we offer. Below you will find a list of our firefighter courses, these are also available to members of industrial firefighting teams.
This is a question we often get asked and unfortunately the answer to that question isn't as clear cut as you would think, it all depends on the size and the nature of your business and may need more than you actually think! You need to conduct risk assessments to assess how many people are in your building (staff and clients) and if your building is a low/medium or high-risk building.
