The Bakehouse Cafe

Was hosting a small get together and wanted to do a little something nice for the people coming over. I placed a $65.00 order online for this place. Had never been here, knew nothing about the joint. Had the order picked up (various assortment of baked goods) got the items and was told, "Oh they didn't have a few of the items you ordered so she just gave you other stuff instead" mind you this order was placed in the morning on a Saturday at like 9:30am When we opened up the boxes to begin to enjoy the items we first discovered WOW are these cinnamon buns HUGE! 😳😲
Then we began to cut into

The brisket and the pulled pork both had a great smoked flavor but they were listed as "BBQ" which led me to believe there was going to be a sauce involved. The mac and cheese was slightly dry. The baked goods looked delicious and that will be what I try on my next visit!

Super good food! Definitely check the BBQ Saturday! For $7 I got pulled pork and it was amazing! Going back to check out their amazing baked goods!!

Everything here was absolutely delicious, but the most exciting part was the ginormous cinnamon rolls... I'd go here all the time if I didn't live 4 hours away😂

The atmosphere in this place is amazing. Absolutely decorated and designed beautifully. Service was good answered all our questions. Saw some other negative reviews which is unfortunate but I can only speak for our experience. Hopefully they don’t forget where they came from and remain humble and know that they are what they are because of the customers 😊 I could see this place become hugely successful if not already. Wouldn’t be a bad place for a small affordable wedding reception or party if they offer that. Haven’t tried much here but what we have is very good 👍 we will be back to

Nice place, although I asked for a breakfast wrap and they gave me but the sandwich version of the wrap I asked for. I didn't complain, it was a pretty decent sandwich. Egg nicely cooked, good bacon, I just would've toasted the bun a little longer. I had an espresso brownie afterwards. It was good. Pretty dense, and fairly priced.

Nice coffee, friendly service at The Bakehouse Cafe (bakery). I tried the newly available Iced Cold Brewed coffee, a large Nitro Extreme hot coffee, a delicious blueberry muffin and a sweet (coconut) scone too..!
Only recommendation would be to add a loyalty program, like buy 6 coffees, get the 7th for free. This would be nice for someone like me that needs coffee everyday!!

Great coffee, clean and excellent staff! We love the drive thru also. And their rotisserie chicken with the sides are excellent because you can just grab them and go.

Wowee is all I can say. Tonight we devoured the Indian treat take away. It was the best take away we've ever tasted. The balance of flavours and textures was perfect. As always, the little extra touches made it delicious. A veritable feast in every corner. Lockdown got better! Thank you to all concerned in the planning, cooking and presenting. Can't wait for the next offering We are incredibly lucky to have you on our doorstep ❤️

Thank you so much for our lovely Indian curry last night. It was all absolutely delicious 😋 and I loved the way you presented it. I meant to take a picture to share on FB but had eaten most of it before I remembered 🤔. Thank you Bakehouse for all you are doing to make our lives more pleasurable at the moment. 🤗

Yummy takeaway hot leek and spring vegetable soup and turban roll from Bakehouse Findhorn . Such a great facility to have access to great takeaway food , fresh fruit and vegetables and amazing takeaway coffee. Let’s support local including the Village Store and Post Office right next door . So very fortunate.

Great staff so friendly and understanding when we have small children with us. Food is great and the cook will make changes to meet personal taste. However best of all is coffee! It used to be impossible to get good coffee in the North not now!

We loved using the Bakehouse for our wedding! Mackenzie was very helpful throughout our wedding planning process. Her tasting was very well set up and planned. We loved the champagne and bride and groom strawberries! Every cupcake we tried was gluten free and absolutely delicious! During our wedding, we were thrilled to see how beautiful our gluten free cake came out! The staff even made gluten free apple bread for the cocktail hour and we loved it! Everyone was telling us how delicious all the baked goods were. I emailed with Mackenzie to plan an anniversary cake to come out for my parents' anniversary

Fantastic bakery/restaurant located in the quaint seaside town of Findhorn. The food was delicious and the portions are generous. I had one of their specials of the day, which was smoked haddock fishcakes & salad and it was really good. They have plenty of vegetarian options too. The baked goods are amazing and lots of unusual whole grain options too. They use local ingredients & organic when possible. We left with small bag of baked goods too! After eating here it's nice to take a walk around the bay or along the beach, both of which are only a few minutes walk from the restaurant

Had a family lunch here in Findhorn . Such a fab cafe , in the heart of The village , serving the local community well . It sells beautiful bread and eggs , and also some local wares such as wooden bread boards and accoutrements and glassware .
The food is organic and delicious and makes most wonderful cakes and desserts . I ate polenta cake and my friend had the lemon roulade which tasted as good as it looked . The main dishes were varied and interesting, a good selection of veggie repasts as well as some meat selections for the carnivore in your life . They open later at this time of year and

Nice little spot in northern scotland that actually has soy milk and good vegan selections. Also a plus that it is in the cutest little town Findhorn. Not a plus that yelp and googles directions are wrong as it is NOT in Forres, which added a hour to our trip trying to find the place. Would recommend the trip to Findhorn however with proper directions, and this cute cafe right next to the Findhorn post office.

Love this place! The cafe subscribes to the Slow Food movement and uses local ingredients. The result is tasty, well cooked food.
There is a fantastic selection of breads, a lovely menu to choose from for brunch and lunch, and in the Summer they open longer with pizzas on offer in the evenings.
Also, this place is not to be missed if you are a lover of sweet bakes. Today I had the Black Forest Roulade, which was deliciously moist and a very generous serving.
I really cannot sing the praises of this place highly enough. Great food in a great location!

Just loved this place. It is so unexpected to find a lunchroom like this in this part of Scotland. All their food is organic, a lot is gluten free and vegan. And the interior is very nicely done, also quite uncommon here. The village is one of the most beautiful in the area and really worth visiting. Should not miss the village of Findhorn and the Bakehouse for it's brunch and lunch!
