Oak School of Motoring Ltd is a well established family run driving school offering manual and automatic driving lessons, who have been helping people learn to drive since 2000. We are based in Fair Oak but cover the whole of Southampton and the surrounding area. We have an excellent pass rate and a very good name throughout the local driver training industry, all of our cars are dual controlled and are all non-smoking environments.
We have male and female Driving Instructors and all driving lessons are professional, friendly and they use a flexible teaching style so driving lessons can be tailored to individual needs. We offer local pick ups to and from local colleges or from home or work. Our driving instructors can help you with the theory and hazard perception part of the exam.

Services
There is a considerable difference between normal town/city driving and the skills that are required to drive safely on the motorway where traffic is moving at greater speeds. Therefore, we highly recommend that new drivers, or any driver who may not have experienced fast moving traffic, or not have driven for a while, book a motorway lesson or lessons.
Pass Plus is a training course designed by the Driving Standards Agency (DSA), which is aimed at new drivers. The course will help you how to anticipate, and plan ahead, helping you to deal with a wide range of hazards and traffic situations. Once you have successfully completed the course you can ring the participating Insurance companies (you will be sent a list by the DSA), to obtain the best discount on your Insurance premium.
At Oak School of Motoring Ltd we offer Driving Instructor Training in Southampton, giving you the chance to become a self-employed driving instructor in Southampton and surrounding areas.

In order to start your driving lessons you must have a valid and signed driving licence which you must show your Instructor on the 1st lesson. You will need to send your D1 application form, original documentation to confirm your identity, a passport style colour photograph, and the fee to DVLA, Swansea, SA99 1AD.

**UPDATE** I cannot recommend Oak School of Motoring enough, Paul is an amazing teacher. Our youngest daughter has also passed 1st time with only 1 fault. Thank you Paul both my girls have been taught by the best.
Paul taught our eldest daughter to drive and she passed 1st time, he was always very friendly, calm and professional. He always had very good communication skills with both myself and my daughter. In fact we were so happy that we have already booked Paul in to teach our second daughter to drive in 2021. I would 100% recommend Oak School of Motoring to anyone looking for a professional

After a tough few setbacks, I passed with a clean sheet! Paul is an amazing instructor who is very professional and listens to your less confident areas and always takes them into account. I love the way that the instructor uses a system that keeps track of your lessons objectives and what you want to improve on for next time I found this was very effective and helped immensely.
Paul was always reliable and never canceled short notice, he would always go above and beyond to fit you in for lessons…
Overall I would highly recommend Paul and his team!

I recently passed my test at Maybush and my driving instructor Phil was super helpful. I was previously with a different driving company, but my experience with Oak and with Phil has been great! Super patient, calm and supportive - making sure I was super confident before he let me take my test. With this being such an uncertain time the Driving school was so good at getting lessons to people and making sure everyone was safe! Great experience, really recommend!

Just wanted to take the time to write a few words regarding Oak School of Motoring. My son has recently passed his test and Oak School of Motoring were instrumental in helping him pass first time. Paul, his instructor, was excellent from his very first lesson. He was always punctual and never once cancelled or changed a lesson.
Paul is very experienced, very calm and had good conversations with my son on every lesson.
I believe that a lot more companies out there are offering driving lessons now, but I do not think you can go far wrong calling up Oak School of Motoring first to check on their
