We are based in Oldbury and have experienced Therapists who are ready to support you or your organisation. Counselling and Psychotherapy are talking therapies, suitable for individual adults, couples, families, young people and children. We are passionate about psychotherapy, and believe strongly in its capacity to heal and help people work through painful, traumatic and troubling life events.
The aim of our therapists is to provide safe, ethical and professional therapy, creating an opportunity for you to work through difficult issues in a safe, non-judgmental and confidential environment. You may choose to bring to therapy issues that involve low self-esteem and confidence, relationship problems, anxiety, depression, work related stress, bereavement, loss, abuse, rape and identity issues.

We hope we can offer you the support you need. Look at Issues worked with page to find out more of some of the popular issues worked with. There are also some examples of client's statements which might ring a bell with you. If you're curious about what happens in the first session, then take a few minutes to view our A Beginning Counselling Video which provides an example of how it might go.
When you come here for therapy you may be feeling vulnerable and fragile. Your therapist will be committed to providing a safe & confidential place for you to work together in, that will support you in building trust in them. That's why it's a requirement that any counsellor or psychotherapist working at the Centre is a current member of an approved professional body that has an ethical code to which they can be held to account.
It is the only way the sessions can be effective - where the only limits on what you bring will be your own choices. The only time that your therapist will break that confidentiality is in extreme circumstances when you or somebody else are at risk, or when the law requires it. All therapists are required to be in monthly supervision to ensure that they are working with their clients in the most helpful, ethical and effective way they can.
Karolina is a UKCP registered Core Process Psychotherapist, offering both, short and long term work. Lisa has 10 years experience working with individual clients across a range of issues. Lisa is also co Director of Cedar Counselling a mental health charity that provides affordable and accessible therapy and psychological support.
We're a self financing, independent Centre so there is a charge for any counselling or psychotherapy. We understand that paying for your counselling is often a big hurdle to jump over, but you'll be investing in YOU, feeling more confident and getting your life back on track and we hope you feel you are worth it (at least after some counselling if not before!)
