I visited Duke Street cafe twice in my week staying in newlyn because it was so good!! On the first visit we had creamy mushroom and spinach with poached eggs on toast and it was possibly the best breakfast I've ever had! When we returned later in the week I had the vegetarian breakfast which was fab too! Both time the ladies serving us were beyond lovely and so helpful. On our first visit they were full but they went out of their way to take our name and number to ring us when a table became available. The second time we knew to book in advance as it gets busy!! Highly reccomend to anyone visiting

Popped in for cream tea which I can recommend, fresh warm scones with cream, jam & strawberries. They even had skimmed milk for my tea (simple request I know, but most places don't have it)! Thank you, we look forward to returning.

The salmon pasta and the crab sandwich were both delicious. They tasted great, looked great and arrived at our table quick. The service was brilliant and the staff are friendly and welcoming. There is a great menu but make sure to check out the specials board as well (that's what we did)! The coffee was smooth and flavourful and the hot chocolate was sensational! Definitely recommend!

Delicious for any meal and best cakes ever!
Went there for lunch and breakfast while in Penzance and was equally great both times.
Limited indoors availability given Covid19 social distancing rules so only 4 tables inside but plenty of outdoors space if weather allows.
Service was flawless both times, waiters were helpful, cheerful and knowledgeable.
Cakes are a must have even if you are full after a meal. Highly recommend the crab sandwich for lunch.

Stumbled across this wonderful hidden gem after driving by, on our way to Mousehole, hundreds of times!! Never really stop in Newlyn, but now we have the perfect excuse. The staff are wonderful, so friendly and the cafe has a lovely decor. They have an outdoor area which is where we sat, in the glorious sunshine. Their is a resident seagull ( isn't there always ) but the cafe water gun keeps it at bay !! Lovely food, but bacon a bit undercooked and greasy for my liking. They do cater for gluten free customers so another tick in the box. They serve breakfast til 1 on a Sunday....perfect.
