Wilderspin Garage began in the early 1950s as an engineering workshop which later included repairs to motor vehicles, It's founder Jack Wilderspin, invented the 'Jack Truck' for use on the nearby land settlement.
And this equipment is still used today years after Jack's retirement. Since then the business has changed hands twice. The present owner Mark Ray drives the business forward with both sons Tom and Adam. The premises was rebuilt on Qaktree Road in 2003. Now fully equipped for all car and light commercial needs incorporating two MOT bays and five service bays.

Services
There are two testing bays, one with an extra wide pit area capable of accommodating the largest of light commercial vechile's and motorhomes. Their is a reception and viewing area while you wait. All you need is your vehicle registration number and make. In addition, it will tell you if the vehicle is taxed or on a SORN.
Wilderspin Garage is a family owned and operated business and still owned by Managing Director, Mark Ray. Now a number of years later Mark is joined in the business by his two sons Tom and Adam, the three of us now run Wilderspin MOT test and service Centre as a family business. Most motorhomes require an MOT Test once the vehicle is three years old.
Maintenance checks can be done at little or no cost. Best of all, they are quick and easy to do you can check dashboard Indicator Lights On, lights, Tire Inflation and Condition, Windshield Washer Fluid, Engine Oil Level. As a registered MOT service station you can also request an MOT together with your service.
With the increase in technology, cars are getting more complex every year. To keep up with the technology we are equipped with some of the latest diagnostic/electrical test equipment. All scanners and laptops have the latest software; updated monthly. To work alongside these we have the latest probes, cameras, oscilloscopes and multimeter's.

I used Wilderspin to fix electrical and other issues with my car in order to pass MOT, after having had it serviced elsewhere.
I ended up sticking to them to do MOT as well in the end.
I was very happy with the level of service provided to the extend that they are now my first point of call from now on, for all things car related.
In sum:

- easy to get a quote and to book (either via email, facebook, or phone)
- timely and clear communication

Different kind of garage very helpful honest and run by the family. Very pleased with the service I received on my motorhome. I will certainly follow up with services on my car in the future.
Few weeks later Exhaust heat shield dropped off took my motorhome back to Wilderspin not only did they repair the problem they wouldn’t except any payment . Thanks for replying to my messages Tom although you were also on holiday at the time.

Great! My first full service and MOT I have had to do. This garage was recommended by a friend and they were great. Great over the phone and polite. Offered me a courtesy car for the day. Dropped my car off, got called when all sorted. Paid and went home. No aggro and whilst I think lucky nothing needed doing on the car everything was handled very professionally. Will be using for everything on my current car and future cars! Cheers
