Archidomus Architects has been providing cost effective architectural services for clients with small and medium sized residential projects across the Chilterns, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and West London since 1995. Principal - Wanda Bartkiewicz - studied Architecture and Town Planning at the internationally renowned Bartlett School of Architecture.
She has been an RIBA Chartered Member and ARB Registered Architect since 1985. Prior to setting up her own company, she worked in high calibre architectural firms in Central London and Surrey, becoming one of the (at that time) youngest female directors of a multi skilled national architecture and planning consultancy.

Services
Wanda has a strong conviction in creative design following functionality and, thanks to her many years' experience within architecture, planning and construction, she has attained 100% success in achieving Planning Permissions. She has a practical, hands-on understanding of the building process. She will guide you and your project through every part of the process, from your initial consultation to successful completion.
Archidomus offers a tailored service for clients based on their specific requirements. This may involve preparing sketch ideas and drawings for planning permission applications, drawings and documentation to obtain tender costs from builders or providing a full range of working drawings and specifications.
ARCHITECTURE is one of the most cross-discipline careers you can find. Only those with a creative mind can design buildings from scratch, but architecture also needs meticulous mathematics and precise science. On top of learning a varied, practical skill set, architects also need to know about planning permission, engineering costs and building codes.
Some people successfully undertake quite major works, including whole house refurbishments and extensions without architects. If you don't trust builders, or are busy or inexperienced, an architect can help you keep an informed eye on the builders and ake sure the project stays on track. An architect must be registered with the Architects Registration Board (ARB) which has a publicly accessible database.
Are they registered with the Architects Registration Board (ARB)? All architects must be, by law, so make sure you shortlist one that is. This guarantees a certain standard of work, and means they will have Professional Indemnity Insurance in case anything goes wrong and you need to pursue compensation.

Wanda helped us to transform our house, making it a delightful family home. She was efficient, punctual, and pragmatic and a pleasure to work with. She took us smoothly through from design, to planning permission, and tendering and was helpful when we needed her advice during the actual building works.
I would highly recommend her.

We were extremely happy with the service provided by Wanda at Archidomus. We love the design aspect, which made the most of our space and maximised the light. Communication was clear and precise as was liaison with the builder and other parties. We would definitely use Archidomus on any future projects.

We initially used Wanda about 15 years ago to plan an extension to both floors, and have very happily lived in it as our children have grown up.
Last year we decided we needed to make better use of ground floor space and wanted a much bigger kitchen incorporating the garage and the old “play room”
Wanda came up with a great plan, giving us a few ideas such as a utility room and new downstairs toilet/shower room that we hadn’t thought of, and a rough outline of the kitchen layout which we designed using a kitchen planner. The finised result is very similar to Wandas outline.

Wanda was fantastic as the architect for the extension to our home. She provided really practical guidance as to the best use of space and we are really happy with the result. She has excellent attention to detail and provided us with a thorough set of drawings and specification that made interaction with the builder a much easier process than most people seem to experience. Her excellent understanding of the council planning approval and building regs processes ensured that our plans were approved without any problems.
