Childsplay Day Nursery

Childsplay provides a happy, secure, loving and stimulating environment in which a childs personality and confidence can develop in preparation for school. When children are happy and settled they learn and have fun. Throughout the Nursery there is a mixture of both planned and structured activities as well as free play.

Childsplay Day Nursery has a qualified chef and can provide breakfast, lunch, and tea. Lunch is always a hot meal, homemade with fresh ingredients and providing a balanced diet. The Menu changes daily and we can cater for all dietary requirements and allergies. We even have a vegetable patch so the children can grow their own vegetables which the chef uses in the daily menu.

Childsplay Day Nursery we strive to ensure that all adults and children who enter our setting are accepted and included. We recognise that within society both adults and children can be treated unequally and unfairly for a variety of reasons. We are committed to encourage everybody to be part of a community where acceptance is not an issue and all are treated equally.

Our self contained, purpose built Nursery is divided into specially equipped rooms to accommodate different age groups. We have indoor and outdoor facilities, including a woodland garden area, vegetable plots and play equipment. There are facilities for arts and crafts, construction, sand and water play, music and movement in each room.

The Early Years Foundation Stage looks at each individual child as they develop. It recognises that all learning begins at birth and its overarching aim is to give young children the best possible start in life. Every child will be observed and it is through these observations that we can plan activities and experiences for them.
