It all started back in 1927 when William Long had the fabulous idea of opening a luxury chocolate shop in the picturesque town of Keswick, in the heart of the Lake District. He probably never dreamed it would still be in the same family nearly 100 years later. In those early days the shop only opened during the summer months and it is believed William chose to winter in the Madeira sunshine.

Our no added sugar chocolate gift box range has all the delicious flavour of chocolate, just without the added sugar. Commonly known as sugar free chocolate, there are of course small amounts of naturally occurring sugars in cocoa. Our luxury chocolate gift boxes don't compromise on flavour and although they are no added sugar chocolates they really are delicious.

Really annoyed…shop closing time stated for 17:30…arrived at 17:15 to find the shop closed. I detoured on my way from Manchester to Cairnryan to catch the ferry home as we love their fudge which we always buy any time we are near Keswick. Gutted that the shop was closed early and they no longer post this fudge anymore. If closing times have changed…update this info please !!!!!!

I love, love, love coffee chocolates but they are increasingly hard to find. Last year and this year my daughter Cath bought me Friars coffee chocolates.
I have just opened this years box and they are again… amazing and beautifully presented. I particularly wanted to comment on the packaging. As much as I love coffee chocolates I hate over packaging. Friars have it right on both counts. There’s no wasted space in the box, no over packaging and no cross contamination of packaging, everything can be recycled.

Friars Chocolates are excellent..I highly recommend. Just bought some more for a present..the taster packs are ideal and they are taking ten percent off for three or more taster packs, when bought. I haven't tried them (non dairy here) but they go very fast when given as presents. :) They also do vegan ones. I think that's been my sixth order in two years with them. The customer service is excellent. Five Stars Review!

Delicious products and amazing service. Ordered chocolates and Prosecco for my friend. Unfortunately, the bottle was broken into pieces upon delivery but a replacement order was processed within a day and the staff was very friendly on the phone. Ordered a variety of goodies (chocolates, marzipan fruits, Christmas "pictures") on Monday late afternoon and they arrived on Wednesday morning by express delivery. Everything was safely packaged and the boxes looked lovely. It's the first time I've ordered Friars chocolates so I could hardly wait for Christmas Day! I'm happy to say that they're the nicest chocolates I have tasted and I will definitely be ordering again. Highly recommended!
