Great selection but don’t go with kids as the owner has little patience with kids- odd for a place that sells kids books and toys. Shame as we rushed out as soon as we could after buying one book.
Update: Thanks for the owner’s response. I appreciate you taking the time to respond. You say it’a a shame as to why I didn’t indicate my dissatisfaction when talking to you directly. I actually didn’t talk to you directly because I was unhappy with your tone, and out of courtesy, paid for the item our kid had selected and walked out as fast as we could. I understand the covid point but kids

Fantastic shop and even better staff! We regretted not buying something when we were visiting the area and a quick message to the shop and it was in the post same day, wonderful service! They stock lots of unique items from independent and small businesses so you're bound to find something you might not easily find somewhere else. Can't recommend this shop enough.

It may have been a cold n wet old day in Ambleside, but what a lovely warm welcome upon entering the shop (wish I knew the lady's name). The shop is just full of unusual treasures, & we spent ages browsing, & yes, we bought items as well. Will deffo be back, even if it's a long way from the Isle of Wight :-)

Love it! So cute and not just filled with crap, which is a risk with these 'knick-knack' style stores. I spent a fortune in here and would have spent more, only I couldn't carry it all home in my suitcase!
The store is filled with coasters, lampshades, journals, jewellery, pens, wall art and I could go on for ages. Perfect for gifts!

I love this store... mostly because they have such an assortment of items that I can find something for everyone I am shopping for... and myself of course.
I particularly love the journals/books. Last time I purchased a Listography journal, this time I purchased a journal that gives you hundreds of topics to write about. Not just any kind of topic, but things like: Write a love letter to a person you dislike, What would you buy from the SkyMall catalogue and why?, or write a ransom note. More stuff to keep me from actually being productive!
I also purchased a humorous Mother's Day card
