Had a great time visiting here with my grandad. Lots of really interesting exhibits and some lovely walks in between. It's a full day out and from what I could see it is great for kids too. Lots of lovely animals to say hello to and the cafe was great, really delicious food. To top it all off the staff and volunteers were extremely polite, helpful and welcoming to the museum. Would definitely visit again and recommend to everyone. If you live locally and have never visited, you're doing yourself a great injustice.

We were amazed at how interesting the museum is and there is so much to see…our grandchildren are 4 years, 6 years and 9 years old, and all found it really interesting and fun. Our 4 year old, loved the play stations . It was amazing value . Lunch at the Cafe was delicious and good value. All the staff were so friendly too.

We came here for the Beer Festival and enjoyed the rural setting, including the traveller wagons. Staff were very friendly and interested in making the event a great success. The barn, where the ales were kept, is a very fine structure in its own right. I'm not sure though, whether I would pay £12 to enter the museum on a normal occasion, irrespective of its merits.

We had a wonderful day out here yesterday. Lots of shady places to hide from the sun, and so much to see we didn’t fit it all into our afternoon. So even better that our tickets are valid all year. When asked… what was best one child said “Abbots Hall” and the other two children said “Darren!” So pass on our thanks to Darren and his interesting piggy info. Older boy loved the irony of being on his mobile in the phone box.

This really is a hidden gem in Stowmarket. There is such a huge amount of things to see that it could take a few days to see it all! The animals look well looked after and the exhibits are very diverse and well maintained. I look forward to visiting again throughout the year to see some more of the diverse wildlife
