At Charlbury Pre-school, we organise sessions so that each child can choose from a range of activities. Alongside free play, children can take part in adult-led activities that introduce them to new experiences and concepts. We foster and encourage child-initiated learning, so if your child shows a special interest in something, we embrace this and offer them additional experiences to enhance their learning.
We incorporate cooking, local walks and physical activity sessions into our daily routines. We invite parents and other members of the community to come in and talk to the children or lead an activity. Services
We take children aged 2-5. We offer up to 26 hours per week in term time and we're open every weekday. We run on the same term dates as specified by Oxfordshire County Council including two inset days, which you will be told about in advance. Before you apply for a place, do come to the pre-school to meet us and see what we do.
You can speak to your child's key person or other members of staff about how our child is getting on pretty much any time. We operate an open-door policy. Every day at drop-off and pick-up, you can chat with fellow parents about anything and everything to do with pre-school and what the children have been up to.
